Kalavor Talgris is a mountain of a man, standing 6'4" and weighing in at 365 lbs. His frame is stocky and he looks like a power-lifter with a layer of fat. Kalavor has huge, stubby-fingered hands, thick limbs and is covered with brown body hair. He wears his dark brown hair and beard short and has large, brown eyes. Kalavor is the kind of guy that makes a lumberjack look small and effeminate.
What Kalavor usually wears depends on what he's doing; you see Kalavor is a werebear. And he's equally at home in "fuzzform" as in "skin." In fact, unless he has some reason not to, Kalavor parades around naked -- bears don't like clothing and as a humann he doesn't give a wererat's ass. While on adventures, however, Kalavor wears specially designed "break-away" studded leather armor, a bastard sword on his back and a pair of hand axes strapped to his muscular thighs.
Kalavor's younger sister, Brianna Talgris, and father, Urthur Talgris, are summoners. His mother, Siobhan Talgris, was a druid of Ehlonna before she was killed by ogres and hill giants whilst defending her village of Clearbrook. Kalavor grew up as a woodsman in Clearbrook (within the Gnarley Forest) and bears a deep hatred for ogres, giants and any "dangerous" lycanthrope (although to date he's only met one which DIDN'T fall into this category).
Kalavor is also a husband and father. Following his mother's call, Kalavor joined a group of adventurers in defending his woodland home. With the group that was one day to become the K/Z Party, Kalavor met and fell in love with Jessica Grey (swordswoman extraordinaire). She, Margo Prattnick and Zarabell Finelock would often bail him out of trouble since he usually would begin a fight leading with his jaw (the first fight he started and finished on his feet was at 4th level!). While seeking an ancient elven city, Margus Jamiah married Kalavor and Jessica. Less than a year later, Kalavor became the father of Samandra, and shortly after arriving on Eon were born the twins, Rhion and Willish. Over the years, Kalavor and Jessica had other children on Eon as well, first little Urthur, then Holly, followed many years later by Ben and finally Siobhan.
Kalavor has been on many adventures: moshing hobgoblin raiders, bashing unicorn-slaying ogres, exploring the sewers of Greyhawk (phew!), killing a gorgon, stealing the Star of Heironius (ugh!), eating mind flayers (he prefers them cooked), discovering the ruins of Myrendell and exploring the Tower of Illusion. In the process of "rescuing" his daughter, Samandra, from Chamois, a mysterious plane-traveling desert warrior, Kalavor, Jessica and young Samandra were stuck on the swamp-covered world of Torsh for nearly a year and then marooned on Eon for more than ten! Years later, Kalavor and Jessica joined Arch-Duchess Damelia, Suevellia, Woodenthighs, Amajaro, Sean, Sage, Gamoth, Ashtabular and Mirkquin in an assault on Lolth's Demonweb in the Abyss. Soon afterward, in order to repair the dimensional damage done to the Tower of Illusion, Kalavor and Jessica as well as Black Robe, Artec, Beulla, Andar, Tyris=Flare, and Aris traveled to many different worlds, including Kaiousei, Eternia, and an alternate Oerth.
While one Eon, Kalavor's other children were born and the family became Defenders of her majesty, Queen Diana and her kingdom of Etherea. They also learned many lessons in understanding. To this day, Kalavor and Jessica are legendary heroes throughout Etherea and they hope to soon return to their new homeland.
Kara Drake's adventuring career spans many adventures, several parties and multiple continents. Kara was a founding member of the Second Portown Party. She and Krell briefly joined Kara's brother, Raitan, seeking the Staff of Law in the Highlands. When she returned to the Cairn Hills region, Kara and Krell were joined by Fadranth Steppenwolf, Mandar, Daisy Hornblower, Analu Surella, N'Ganti Shanga, Chira and others. Soon, Death=Adder sent his orcish minions after Kara and her friends. The orcs captured and beat Kara. They would have tortured her to death, but Mandar freed Kara and Analu at the cost of his life. He was reincarnated, and alongside Tyris Flare, the group recovered the Book of the Dead from the Halls of the long-dead necromancer Theocrolich.
It was during the "Dead=Adder Chronicles" that Kara turned to magery. Kara was no longer content with her acrobatic talents of survival; she wanted to have the power to make a difference. Krell taught her a few cantrips which Kara used to devastating effect. With present she slew the anti-paladin, Lord Hiss. She prevented Death=Adder's forces from finding the Eye of Nerull with hide. And her cantrips allowed her to save the crucified Anthana. It was at this time that Kara began her career as a mage-killer, taking delight in her ability to catch, corner and toy with wizards -- as a cat with mice. Ultimately, it was Kara who killed the diabolic necromancer Death=Adder...
Later, Tritus of Posideon quested Kara to lift the curse off of a temple in Hepmonaland. Kara also killed the crat-killing elven fighter/mage, Lanolin. She joined her brother to kill Mirras Yantavar, the wizard who had stalked the sailor for many years. Kara helped "cleanse" the Wound in the Earth. Kara even taught Daisy's, Bambi Liddle, to be an acrobat.
After Krell departed, Kara retired for a few years, only to return disguised as Kit Brandywine. It was as Kit, while exploring an ancient Medegian temple, that Kara was teleported halfway across the world to Neregan. She and her Arabian party then began their long journey homeward, across the deserts of Neregan to the lands of Zakhara. In the city of her childhood, Muluk, Kara and her companions began a quest to cross the Burning Desert and find the lost city of Al'Anwahr. During this adventure, Kara and her band slew a vishap (dragon), killed an evil sha'ir, freed a pair of djinni and uncovered the location of the Genie's Forge. After a long and ardous trek across the desert, the party entered the volcano and at its core gained their hearts' desires. Kara's wisdom increase by FOUR!
The scars of her childhood burned away, Kara discovered many new things, including that the love of her life is Mandar. She returned from Zakhara in secret, followed him (in the disguise of Kit) into an adventure and there declared her passion for him. The pair soon found themselves embroiled in the intrigue of divinities, battling spiders and drow. In the end, however, Fate smiled brightly upon Kara, for with a simple vial of holy water the wizardess destroyed a goddess.
Their quest completed, Mandar and Kara were wed on March 14th, 608 Common Year, in Venturus Drake's manor in Portown. Afterwards, the pair slipped away for a quiet honeymoon alone...
Kara stands a muscular and lithe 5'8" and 135 lbs with long, thick, dark brown, wavy hair, brown eyes and a dusky complexion. She usually wears rose-shaped gold closiné earrings, a neck-torc, a soft-leather bodice under a loose printed silk blouse, tight gray pantaloons and black boots. Kara has often been aloof, rash, harsh and bitchy, but her experiences in the desert have shown her a much more mellow path.
Kee'O appeared after the Fab Five and the other Klarrians had rousted the Steading of the Hill Giant Chief, Norasa, and went on several adventures trying to gain experience to be able to fight giants with them. The first wu jen the Klarrians had met, they called him 'Woojy' for years before anyone figured out his name was really Kee'O. He finally did convince them to allow him to go on their second major raid against the frost giant Jarl's domain and survived out of sheer luck, nearly wearing out a fully charged wand of magic missiles they gave him to use ("Diki wa zenzen!"). Witnessing the incredible carnage the Klarrians dealt upon the frost giants, he decided to head off and find adventure elsewhere. He went on small adventures with Gamoth, Asfaloth, Shang-lung Drake, Goldilox Took and many other small parties, but never really found a party he liked until he was taken to SkyHaven and met Treblo SkyMage, Ariel, Brand and the other inhabitants of the floating cloud castle. He currently lives there high above the Lake of Unknown Depths, taking over a small tower and presiding as the resident guild leader of the Mage's Guild of SkyHaven. In this position he is in charge of regulating security on the cloud castle, and organizing the creatures living there to protect it in times of danger.
Kee'O appears as a 5'10" Korean human male, black hair, light hazel eyes, and dressed in a Japanese style jacket, pants, and karate shoes. He is a generally aloof sort, very feline and interested in something else other than what you're talking about. He often is found in the company of a young male griffon he calls 'Lockheed' after a weapon of incredible destruction he saw using a know history spell on a mysterious huge desert crater in an alternate dimension.
Kephalonia appears as a tall slender (5'10', 120lbs) if slightly buxom lady with long wavy bleached-blond hair and deep brown eyes. She typically dresses in Medgian priest's robes, although her ornamentation is somewhat less traditional; a pendant here depicting a bloody hand clasping a torch, a small pumpkin relief cauldron carried along. Her demeanor is smooth and languid, greeting strangers with a subtle smile and a demurely angled outstretched gloved hand. In the evening, shadows coalesce around her right eye, forming a dark star on her face.
Kephalonia is well-known as a fine cook and homemaker, a brewer of all kinds of various substances baleful and medicinal, magic and normal, as well as liberally plying those around her with homemade talismans and conversation pieces many of which seem to lend magical power to their wearers. Adventuring, she is known to slip in and out of the party's ranks healing, occasionally letting lose with a huge ball of lightning or faerie fire. Yet she also carries a light, expertly sharp longsword, a side-effect of a curse.
Several years ago, Kephalonia happened to be traveling to Amberwood looking for more tolerance for witches, when some other travelers in the Inn happened to lose some of their children they were traveling with on a dark and stormy night. Sworn to protect children at all costs, Kephalonia joined in on the adventure. As it just so happened, those travelers included Jasmine, the White Witch of Klarr, and one of the children was her son, Mikhail. The adventure's finale ended with much of the party charmed by a bunch of kenku that employed the party to dig up the Egg of Chaos from under a local temple, with Kephalonia, a low level witch to figure out how to free them. In the end, the Egg exploded, touching all present with pure Chaos and kicking off a tremendous series of events in the world.
Finding less tolerance than she'd expected in Amberwood, Kephalonia had planned to travel to Ningal, but in Greyhawk on the way, she met up with an assassin, Erik, his paramour Amanda of Myhrissa, and a few others involved in a few adventures there. Helping out again, she happened to be included in the group's being blamed by a local duke for the death of one of his men. Beset by assassins and the authorities at every turn, the party fled Greyhawk and became the original Outlaw Party.
As outlaws, the party traveled and adventured along the Wild Coast and eventually ended up in Klarr. Included in these adventures, the party fought several strange aquatic creatures, adventured in Rappan Athuk freeing much of the area from undead and orcish influence, saved a local baron's child from doppelgangers, and freed Akbeth the Dark from imprisonment.
Her first major test came as several local lords of the Wild Coast commissioned the 'outlaw' party to travel south into the Pomarj and do everything possible to prevent the Slave Lord's yellow sailed ships from taking prisoners from the Wild Coast down to the Pamarj. After a brutal week of adventuring, the 9 Slave Lord's ring was in shambles, with all of them dead except for Madromo, a high priest of Ghaunadur the Elder Elemental God and Slippery Ketta, an acrobatic thief. For their deeds much of the group were knighted by Queen Elena of Fax, and proclaimed heroes throughout the Wild Coast city states.
Kephalonia settled for a little over a year in Klarr again, opposite her friend Jasmine (aka 'the White Witch of Klarr) calling herself, appropriately, the Black Witch of Klarr. However, then Hecate came to Kephalonia in a dream and told her to drop what she was doing, the world was in danger from chaotic forces that only the most powerful Greek heroes would be able to stop - the Egg of Chaos' explosion's results had finally born fruit, and the Elder Elemental God's forces were threatening the world! So far these heroes have done passibily well, but this time the whole of Oerth's well-being hangs in the balance...
