The Epic Saga of my Life...

I like music. I don't really know much about any of the bands out there right now, but I'll still listen to just about anything. Led Zeppelin, Queen, Rachmaninoff, Portishead, Sneaker Pimps, Muppets, Radiohead, Copland, Weird Al, Metallica, you name it. Even those kiddy songs, like "Rubber Ducky" and "Teddy Bears' Picnic". I don't care much for rap, techno, or country though. I was a percussionist in the Northern Ohio Youth Orchestras for several years. I don't have any recordings with me, but I've found some MIDI files from the Classical MIDI Archives of some of the same songs we've played. Some of my favorite songs that we played are Moldau by Smetana, Appalachian Spring by Copland, Night on Bald Mountain by Mussorgsky, and Polivtsian Dances by Borodin. There's quite a few others, but I couldn't find MIDI's of all of them. I also don't have enough hard drive space in my account to put everything here.

I like movies, especially sci-fi. There just aren't enough of them being made these days. Star Wars trilogy, Alien, Aliens, & Terminator 1 & 2 are some of my favorites. I also like a lot of action movies and comedies. As with music, my tastes are pretty broad. Just about the only movies I don't like are cheesy romance movies (they're fine if they're not cheesy) and those G-rated animal movies. Maybe there's some exceptions, but they're pretty rare. As much as I'd love to put some clips here, they're definitely too big.

Some of my other hobbies include judo, skiing, and doing set contruction with the local summer theatre. I'm an advanced skier by Ohio standards, but that's not saying all that much. I do a bit of volunteer work here and there, I like playing chess, and I used to collect comic books. Had to stop when I came to school. My favorite comics are Uncanny X-Men, Bone, Sam & Max, and The Tick. Well, that's it for now. Maybe I'll add on to it later. Or even <gasp> fix up the grammar!
