Well today i realized that I play about 2 hours of counterstrike a week and have a $200 video card. So i decided that i'm going to sell my voodoo5 for around $190 and i bought a new voodoo4 for $108 shipped. This way i still have half decent 3d for the few times i play, and awesome 2d and driver support. Plus it was hella cheap, so i get $80 for food. Well i agree with brian and i think i already posted that nader is a commie. Dont waste your vote. Fuck the green party, they dont need to get federal funds because that is a commie party. Being an economics expert (i'm asian we talk about stocks and the economy and i'm greedy and i took econ 1 last quarter so yeah). Here is what will happen if you raise the miniumum wage to a livable wage which in LA county or the bay would be around $10 an hour. First off goods will cost more. That will be an immediate effect. Actually no, only goods made in america will costs more, so foreign goods will make us have a larger trade deficit and destory our manufacturing and all those losers who make the minimum will be fired. Either that or because of manufacturing more work will be outsourced to mexico because NAFTA makes that easy (the company my dad works for has already started doing this, and the only plant they have left in america is in long beach with mostly mexicans). Secondly if those people weren't fired there would be so much more money in the economy that it would be worth less than it is, which would contribute an overall increase in prices of everything. Its that thing called inflation. Inflation is evil. So then all the prices will be higher, and the livable wage wont be enough again, meaning we will have to increase nader's commie wage again. Rinse repeat. People who want a higher minimum wage are frankly just asking for a handout. Realistically there is a reason why you have that job that pays shit. Yeah i'm sure there is a story behind it, and exceptions yada yada. If you want more money get a better job.

You know maybe i could be an econ major. But wait i figured out that without being one, and well some econ majors cant figure out that if coffee costs 5 cents to make and you sell it for 4 cents you are losing money. I really think that from my experience in econ last year that all econ majors do is memorize stupid acronyms like TC (total cost) and AFC (average fixed cost) so that they can talk in stupid terms like "delta TC over delta AFC is decreasing so the slope of this chart is going to flatten out, so yeah were doing ok"

Now time for my opinion on the election. Vote for gore. If you vote for gore, you can support a guy with an IQ of more than 80. See bush says things like "i'm for getting rid of crime" , yeah , and so is everyone else you dumbass. Secondly the stock market will go up since its likely the executive and legislative branches will be controlled by opposite parties again. If you vote for nader then well you are for commies, and if you vote for bush well, he's an idio and he supports vouchers and oh yes did i mention he's dumber than my ass? So i can see bush winning for this reason. Most people are too dumb to understand the issues. Trash dumbasses. They see bush smiling, and they think yeah what a cool guy lets vote for him, just like in elementary school when people voted for the "coolest" guy, who turned out to be a dumbass (just to let you know jesse johnson the drunken moron was my elementary school class president, dont ask why i remember because i remember everything). Anyways nader's commie ass will steal gore's votes also , thus helping bush even more. Lastly i think that they should reinstitute those tests they used to give to see if people should be allowed to vote (that were racist, but if no one was racist...) because a lot of people are waaaay too dumb to be deciding the fate of this country.

EDIT: I have to say , that i guess since inflation is about 2-3% a year then everyone should get a raise of around that much each year to keep up, but not higher than that. Also I love america. Its a place where you can make 60 times as much as the lowest paid guy just because you EARNED it. And a guy like shaq can make 83 mil over 3 years because it is what the MARKET will bear. Also i was thinking about the current state of Hans. I was just laying on my bed, kinda tired of reading math and i think i'm just wandering aimlessly. Just like me and jason used to do in a car but in my life. I think i really have no long term or even short term goals. Nothing I'm really wanting to do. I dont know, i just feel like i'm dead in the water , and there is no wind for sails and my engine is out of gas. Maybe i'm even spinning around in place. I don't know. I mean everyday i do a bunch of completely pointless things. Nothing really changes. I guess i'm just bored with everything. Hell i'm not even tweaking my computer anymore, it just isn't fun anymore. I play counterstrike like maybe 4 hours a week. Yes i really am taking advantage of my $200 video card. And then i got into more thinking which from what Loer has told me is really dangerous. I just figured what the hell am i gonna do with my life. I like programming, but i dont think i could do it all day. I want to do business, but i've got no shot at business school. I'm not really charming or really that sociable. It got to me that i'll probably end up being just some average schmuck who like my example before is just dead in the water doing pointless things everyday and nothing really changing. Well i was having a steal-a-thon, i mean napster-fest. I went on billboard.com downloaded like some songs that were in the top 20 in some of the categories that i didnt have and well they sucked mostly. had all the good ones. So i started looking for this song higher and higher, and well i found it, its by jackie wilson or something. I've heard it in a lot of movies. So some trance stuff came up with that too. SO i decided to just put trance as the artist name and got a lot of trance stuff. So i downloaded some happy hardcore and well i really dont like happy hardcore music. I mean that really high beat like 160bpm happy high pitch mostly music. Its really too damn happy for me. Or its sounds fruity. Usually fruity. Well i think i should sleep now.

Damn this weekend was tiring. After coming home from family night at like 3am on saturday, my dad picked me up at like 10 AM to go home and help pack up everything in our house. For the next two days i basically just packed up boxes and took beds apart, and hauled them to the garage. I was so tired. Anyways i took the time to loot some of the stuff we were gonna throw away. Turns out we had a really old 800x600 capable 14" SVGA monitor there that my dad was gonna throw away, so i decided to test it. It was the exact same model that they have on those apples at THS except its the PC version. It even had the same broken ass power switch, which i ripped off so i could turn it on. I accidentally dropped it and scraped up the casing when i opened the box. But its still works, and its like 10 years old. So i brought it up to school with my tv box, so now i've got a dedicated tv, next to my computer, on top of a pile of boxes that is on top of my fridge. I think i might try and get a 2nd vid card and pass through it on my 2nd monitor and see what dual monitor is like. Whats cool is i can watch it from the couch. Of course this totally defeats the purpose of my having a tv card again, and i had to disconnect my tv card from the wall so basically its useless, unless we decide to do some n'chink wannabe vid capturing. ALso brought up my quake2 doll and its sitting on the tv tuner and looking menacing. Looted a travel iron too. Pretty cool.

So i got back , had to finish my final draft of my paper. I'd call it a B paper, its decent but not anything good. Now i'm reading my chinese characters so i get more than the 81 i got on my last quiz. I was talking to my dad about it, and my TA was right all the people in taiwan pronounce all the zh and ch and q sounds with a ts in front of them and it kinda screws it up. They say tsong guo ren instead of zhong guo ren. Oh yeah and i ate so much food at home, it was sick.

Went to ACA family night today. I saw connie there, but she wasnt going it seemed. Family night was kickass. Went to some japanese restaurant, and then played some pool. My team of guys against girls managed to lose 3 straight to the girls, do to some pretty sorry ass scratches on the 8 ball and the break. The girls were freaking hustlers i tell you. Kenny and Ellen are excellent parents, they let us have the coolest family night possible. It was dope. Anyways, also tolu's brother temi is here. Had a nice conversation with him. I tell you this guy is something special, really smart guy. He'd have fit in the circle very well. He told me he doesnt even like football, he's just using it to milk the system. He's smart enough to know he said that college kids aren't the little pathetic high school kids you can push around, so he's not really looking at football too much, just for the free ride. He's a great kid, smart, lazy, plays football and counterstrike, i hope maybe i have a kid like him someday.

I was thinking today and i know why the stocks are down. Most say its slowing growth, and stuff. But usually there is a rise in corporate sales around now, since companies are gearing up for xmas production, especially for tech companies. Anyways, I think its because there is an election coming up. It adds too much uncertainty. If gore wins the stock market will go up , if we let the blubbering moron win, then it'll go down, since the house and senate will probably be republican again. We need stability which means, no new drastic laws getting passed. Which is why stocks did well in the clinton administration. Investors, especially institutions (i.e. mutual funds) are worried about this. All the japanese yen and euro prices aren't that big a deal because those problems have been there all year. So i think its just the presidency that is worrying people, but since it looks like the man who is 2 times as smart as the other will win. Also nader is a commie. Dont vote for him. He doesnt support big business. He says he's helping the poor. That is bullshit because if we kill big business, we slow down the economy, thus making us ALL poor. He's an idiot, the green party sucks. Thank you, i hope you like my political analysis.

As for what i did today, i just did math and chinese homework, and took terry to mongols since it was his birthday a couple days ago. That about it for today. Also we're almost done seeing chinatown revisited in english, and that is a pretty good movie. Has jack nickelson in it (yeah i'm sure its spelled wrong) and faye dunaway.

Well I just got back from IM basketball and football. The basketball game just sucked. Like 15 guys showed up and 1 girl. You have to have 3 girls on the court to even play. Eventually another girl came, but we had to play 4 on 5 since we didnt have enough girls. And to top it off, a guy cant shoot in the paint, land in the paint after shooting, or pass in the paint. So basically guys cant play offense out side of jump shooting. Its like 6 high school girls basketball players and 4 random guys with basically their arms cut off on offense. Anyways I'm pretty sure we lost even though i promised a win, but i didnt know about these gay ass rules, I left at the half when i dove for a ball and someone kicked me in the face. So I go outside to play football. Out men's team won since the frat house we were playing didnt show up. The co-ed team, well we lost since we had absolutely no girls. We just scrimmaged and it was pretty fun, though i managed to scrape my knee and get mud all over myself in FLAG FOOTBALL. I need cleats badly, i think i'll go buy some.

Well today i didnt do so great on my chinese quiz. I memorized all the pronouns, but it was on the question words. I wrote them all in pinyin maybe i'll get partial credit. When i got back i memorized them in characters. Hopefully it'll stick. After that i really didnt do much, revised my essay, and tutored mohammad for like 2 hours for $20 which wasnt bad. Thats mongols money.

Linux Developer Gets Laid!

Well i went to the unvieling of the bar at terry's room. The party was ok.... Good selection of alcohol. After about 6 drinks i tried to take another shot of vodka and well i spit it all over my pants which really sucked. I dont know I just couldn't feel it becoming a really great party, it was good though. So much rock music. Then dre played and no one could dance very well they kinda just sorta rocked back and forth in the white man 2 step. People telling me to slow down. You know me i have only fast and sleeping as speeds. I was doing that hand waving thing like dre does in his videos. Anyways, from my experience now in parties which are mostly white I can tell you that basically they are all about getting totally drunk. One of the girls (which werent all that great looking really) was so drunk she couldn't walk, and i could just tell some guy was gonna be in her ass at some point in the night. When i was leaving some guy that had been talking to her while she was drunk was walking her around. Anyways after getting vodka all over myself i decided it wasnt worth staying there smelling like shit so i went home kinda faded but made it to rieber without making anyone think anything. I did get to sample lots of drinks i never had before. Some rum called 151 really burns i can tell you, especially if you take it as a shot. They mixed orange juice with a lot of stuff and those didnt even taste like there was alcohol in them. Vodka tastes decent i guess. Rum burns. After drinking corona again i decided that it doesnt taste very good considering what it does, might as well just take a shot. Oh well. If i feel like getting drunk i know where to go i guess.

Also i lifted weights today, i probably need to do that more. My arms are too weak compared to my legs. Also I went to mongols with carter. Was good as always. Also got me a dope ass new AIWA Cd player. At first i got a panasonic since i thought it could read cdrws. But returned it and got the AIWA and it does. The AIWA rocks, it has an infared remote too. Also after seeing devotion at ACA dance yesterday i think i'm a fan now. Wierd. Anyways download "you're not alone" and "need you". THey are good , the first one has a good piano part.

Well i went to the ACA dance at the radisson. It was pretty good. The group Devotion sang and they were pretty good, i liked one of their songs, got it on napster when i got back. Matt, its a filipino R&B group! Anyways i went with connie, wayne and waynes friends steve and julie. It was hot as hell in there. They played a lot of trance and stuff and well you could get really tired real fast since dancing to that is really energy draining. At the end we got on the stage and i talked to a girl on my english class. I also saw Chris there (tenesee chris). After that we went to 7-11 and since i was starving i bought sushi and a mountain dew. I spend like $20 on food today, kinda sucks, since i bought 3 drinks for the people i went with and 2 for me, and it was $2.75 a drink. Damn rip off. Anyways there were skank hos everywhere. I learned that anyone wearing leather was automatically ugly. The only bad thing about the dance was that they played like Nelly 3 times and #1 stunner, and well their hip hop selection for the newer stuff was pretty poor. The rest was mostly raver glowstick people music and old school hip hop. Oh yeah i ended up with a free devotion t shirt, but it looked gay so i gave it to a random person.

Other than that today. I went to math finally. Pretty nice class actually. Dropped my CS class, it was recommended that you take EE1 before it and required you take them concurrent , which i did neither of and i was completely lost. I think i should have gone to class for that, oh well i'll take it next quarter with cs100 OS principles which sounds like a fun class. Plus i returned the $100 book. So next quarter i can just buy terry's off him or something. I think i'll take engineerin 98, CS100 , math 33b and chinese2 next quarter if i can. Or maybe cs51 or ee1 instead of engineering 98 since i probably wont be able to get into that class as usual. So now i'm left with 13 units for this quarter which is a little bit low for a CS major (a psych major or something could get away with 12 a quarter and be fine which kinda sucks for me). I figure i'll either learn java or get a job, most likely java. My new brokerage account at datek did pretty well today, so i was kinda happy, at least i gained back some of the money Mr. NASDAQ took away the last 2 weeks. Also i played basketball and well we played like all these indian guys, i played ok, but i was kinda tired since i didnt sleep that much last night. Oh well i'm gonna actually get a good night's sleep today since i need to do laundry and shit tommorrow.

I was thinking a lot today. I watched Tolu's brother run like 325 yards and score 5 touch downs again. He's got a 4.9 GPA and 1560 SATs too according to the fox sports net 2 announcers. He's gifted. Those are what i call gifts.

So then i started thinking why some people are gifted like that. And then I started doing my CS homework and i couldn't understand it and some people can understand it just like that. Then i was mad since my acne had flared up and it was pissing me off. And why dont some people have acne? Why does acne only fuck with the minds of some people. And why do some people have so much worse acne than others?

So then Garett the religious inter-varsity guy comes to see if tolu is here again. Its wierd these religious freaks are all chasing tolu around this year. Anyways after all that it all clicked together. I came to the final conclusion. Either people are given different qualities randomly and its all random and there is no god. Or god is the biggest jackass of them all and is fucking around with everyone. He fucks with people . He kills people randomly. My grandma didnt get to see the birth of her first great grandson or the marriage of her niece. I dont think she wanted to die. But she did. Who decides that and why? Someone cruel and fucked up did, or its random. My brother lost his mind last year. what the fuck was that? Random or act of god? Lets go back to the acne thing. Jason and me for one have really bad acne, We are on all these drugs and shit and just to make it lessen and not even go away. Then you see people who are like perfect. All this stuff shapes your personality, your confidence, etc. So why do some people get screwed. Either random or some cruel joke that I will never find funny, and if god is our creator as many believe then he is the one playing the cruel jokes. I think i've officially given up on religion now. Fuck it, it doesnt make any sense, why would you believe it its totally illogical hence my other point that all this is most likely random. The church HAS THE BEST MARKETING DEPARTMENT!!!! I remember Mr. Spotts saying that the more educated you are the less religious you are likely to be, and that poor people are more religious. Well religion is like an infomercial. It promises all these great things like being "Saved" or whatever. People who are poor would like to believe that, and people who are dumb are too. Takes a smarter person to actually question it.

Hmm...you know what i realized really sucks. I mean this year i'm taking a bunch of classes that are just straight up retarded. They make you turn in your homework. Last year pretty much all my classes didnt have homework you had to turn in. I mean it BS i always do the homework eventually i'd fail the class, i just dont like having their exact deadlines. Plus for example in math you have like 5 problems that are the same type, i used to do just one since well what the hell is the point of doing the other 4. They are treating us like babies just because some of the students are complete dumb shits. Plus to top it off the classes i have homework in are so easy, that there is no challenge at all, its so boring, i actually liked my harder classes more than these last year since at least i was learning stuff and my mind was working. yeah i know you guys are thinking i'm lazy, but well i dont feel like doing BS work, i am a guy that will spend 30 hours with no sleep programming, since i love doing that, but this BS crap work is just total crap.

The other thing that sucks is it rained today. Ruined my plans. I was gonna play some flag football with ACA but they canceled it since it rained and the field was wet. Then i went to wooden where it was planned that we were gonna ball.. but the volley ball courts were up and we couldn't play. Damn volley ball... not even a contact sport. Well anyways , after wandering around wooden looking for terry and carter which i didnt find, i went to the ACA meeting since i was pretty near it. Did another one of those lame ice breakers where you sign papers saying like you "dont have a pager or cellphone" or whatever. I signed that one. I ended up hugging two random strangers so that they could get those two signed. Real wierd. one of them was "drives a lowered car" hahaha. that was funny.

Well today was uneventful. I skipped all my classes. Still havent gone to math or CS, i think at 4th week if i'm doing bad in one of them i'll drop it, but so far following the online sylabbus for both classes i'm all caught up and they are waaay too easy. English , well i turned in my paper and used one of my excused absences so no biggie. Didnt go to Chinese lecture, most likely i'd be blowing into pieces of paper again, plus i already know the order to write characters. So anyways me and carter went down to westwood. So he was gonna get a haircut so i was like what the hell i dont like combing my hair, so i have a 0 fade on the sides, and a 4 1/2 on top now. Ate food while carter was getting his hair cut then went to rite aid. Finally got a soap holder thing.

Also the most disturbing thing so far this week. Yesterday i forgot to eat dinner so i got downstairs to buy a cup noodles from the machine. Anyways they only had cheddar cheese or something and i'm like wtf. SO i bought it anyways, and it had to be the worst tasting thing you've ever eaten. I figured they couldn't screw it up but it was just soooo nasty. SO i went down and spent another $2 for a sandwich since i was still starving and it was like 3am. Yeech.. cheddar cup o noodles, warning STAY AWAY.

Well I went to compgeeks.com and noticed that Altec Lansing ada880s (like what loer bought) for only $119, + $8 shipping + $8tax. I'm thinking whether i should buy them or resist the urge. Its a 40 watt sub with 4 10 watt satelites. And a remote. And connie could eat my bass.

I was gonna make a nice long rhetorical post, but i'm too lazy. Anyways seems Berkeley has jackassified Loer to a new high. Reminds me of juney, but he's dead so lets not talk about that. Hmm.. maybe if i was drunk every other hour that might happen.
