Well well well. I found out what peaches and cream is like. Unfortunately it was because me and jeremy ate at dennys and he ordered it. I have a math midterm in 10 hours. I studied a good hard 4-5 hours for this, and i think i actuall know enough to pull off a B if i dont do anything mentally retarded like getting there late, which has happened before. I got my motherboard for my stupid CD burning computer but then i realized i dont need a seperate computer for that. Oh well i'm an idiot. So i bought a nice hp usb cdrw, should be at my house in torrance next weekend. I have to go home anyways so i guess it'll be cool, i'll finally be able to burn new mixes again. this weekend has been pretty ok for me, pretty boring i guess. i went up to reiber a couple times for different reasons, but basically i just talked to mark a lot and watched him play hundreds of mp3s. Yes its an exciting life i live. Maybe i shoulda gone broomballing after all. Anyways here is an interesting picture of what silicon valley is like now that the dot coms have crashed.

Today it sort of hit me. I slept all day since tolu was typing up some lab last night so it was too noisy for me to sleep until like 6:30AM. I read my book for engineering 95 so i was still productive. I had a math class, but my professor sucks so i didnt go and woke up at like 3pm. Anyways i had this bad feeling that i should be doing something but i didnt know what, so i just went online and did random crap. Went on anandtech where i have 5430 posts. I looked at the pages and remembered that my last post had a picture of a computer. I dont know but the moment after i thought of that it was just depressing. Anyways for dinner, i was getting tired of jack in the box so i decided to just drive around randomly until i found something. I ended up driving down santa monica blvd and i went to mc donalds. Then I watched enterprise on TV, and i started thinking, that maybe my life was as aimless as what i had just driven. I have nothing that i really feel too excited about right now, and well everything seems to be just a bunch of false starts that end up going no where. Well i guess i'm still alive, so maybe i'll see something one of these days, but well this feeling kinda sucks. I dont know has anyone else had this sort of feeling? I guess this post is pretty contrasting to my last one, but whatever, the accomplishment of finishing math just doesnt do it for me like it did 2 days ago.

Well today i feel pretty good. i finished like 80% of my math homework. Good enough for me. I feel good about math now, think i can do ok on the midterm. My group is doing ok in engineering 95. And ee2 is still going easy. School seems like its actually going good for a change. I'm even enjoying the book i picked for e95. I read 170 pages in 2 days so far, should be done soon. And with my soon to start laptop selling business, and job hunt, if i can get both done, i'll be making money too.
Today instead of dinner I went to dinner with a friend today at saks. Saw lynn and keri there, and got boba too at relaxation. I have now tried all the boba places around here except lollicup and well relaxation is better so far right now. Also below is a pic for matt. He can see that my setup if much cooler looking and stylish than his dell inspiron 8100 brickpad.
Doesn't it just reek of starbucks style trendiness?

Well here goes my well.. i guess weekly update. HAHA. yesterday could have been a really good day. But it ended crappy. I left my room and locked myself out by accident but that was ok. So i go to class, and do some stuff and whatever and i am sitting in ESUC. i met a pretty cute girl there, so that was good. I didnt fail my engineering quiz. that was good. And i was even productive at ESUC since i filed the mentor list and signed myself up as a mentor. BUT... i finally get home, and i was gonna go to yoshinoya to get food. The other day i parallel parked a really tight job between two SUVs. So each SUV had a driveway on the other side of it, so they should have been able to get out fine. They were not trapped in either way, like my car is between two cars. SO i get to my car and the rear SUV i guess didnt even bother backing up, becaues i'm sure some yuppy moron was driving it. SO they hit my car and they must have been trying to pull out fast as they even dented it. I hit a car before, but i was screwed, people had trapped my car by parking really close to it. And i barely hit it. But i get a dent, and he had room to back out. No excuse. Anyways its probably 160-200 to repair, not even sure if i should bother, i mean its noticeable but i'm not sure i care enough since i figure it could happen again.
So i figure,ok fine i'll paint the bumper if i get the cellular modem from UPS and sell it, should get $160 for that. SO i drive to downtown LA today, to get my modem since the UPS guy missed me 3 days in a row. they said they'd keep it there for 5 days before sending it back, i even called them. so i wait 20 minutes in line, while some retarded lady with like 50 boxes for some trade show holding up the whole line. i was talking to a guy in line about how much ups sucks compared to fedex. then i finally give them my slip, and they go, oh we sent it back. and i go you said you'd hold it 5 days, and they go, well it was next day air so we sent it back, like they just created a new rule right then. morons. so i'm out $160 of bumper repair money. i guess i'll have to get a job or sell laptops to pay for the damage now if i choose to. either that or i'm gonnaget a I HATE SUVs sticker. even though my mom and dad both drive them i still hate them. I will never own one, i will buy a sports car and a minivan if i have to. they handle like crap, turn like crap, and they block my sight in my car. I checked out the 2002 altima and the 2003 350z specs, and wow, i just want a 2002 altima 3.5 SE auto, maybe i can save up and buy one like when i get a job out of college. that would be awesome.
Lastly i'm actually at anderson library typing on my laptop posting this. SO yeah matt it pays to have a 3.4 pound laptop, since i actually use mine. OH YEAH!! eat that.

Well i am gonna update since a few noteable things happened i guess. I've been going to class at a decent rate, well relative to last year anyways. Class is going ok, the only class that really is taking a lot of time is math 151a, ee2 is surprisingly easy so far. probably because i'm kinda interested in it and i'm good at chemistry. Anyways, class is well class.
I am figuring i'm gonna apply for the $7 an hour computer sales job at ackerman union since they havent called me about the other job for network support. I was gonna do it anyways this week, but i found out yesterday that my mom lost her job because of usama bin laden. she worked at EDS and they did financial analysis and planning for airlines, and well all the airlines are scaling back, so like half the place got fired. SHe was an easy target since they promoted her to project manager a few months ago, and well there were no new projects to work on because of the airlines scale back. She's pretty sure she'll get a new job before her severance pay runs out, so i guess we're ok. I also saw my dads new car, its pretty nice, a 2000 4 runner sr5, the interior is kinda jacked up, but it shouldn't cost more than like $500 to fix. Lastly my dad and i are gonna buy up all of the rotting laptops at tatung. Its a mix of k6-500s and p3-500-600 machines. We are buying them as is for $60 a piece, 100 of them, and we figure we can get at least 70% to be working since some of them are fine. So then i'm gonna sell em on ebay for $500 or so. I guess it'll be great, we'll even have the parts left over from the broken ones to sell. This means i'll have to go home a lot to get laptops to repair and sell, but oh well, if i get like $100 a piece, its worth it since that $7 an hour job isnt gonna be very much cash.
The other day i went to TBA , technolgy and business association. Its a club where engineers and bizecon majors get together and try to help each other make a lot of money. It seems allright, there was free pizza at least. ESUC is making me do some work now, i have to go to a leadership conference and be a mentor to freshmen this quarter. HAHAHAH i get to be a mentor!!!
So today i decided to go to rendevous (aca first dance) with connie. Just us two went, i guess we were bored and it was only $2 more than just our memberships so might as well right. I 405 samuraid down to get my shoes and some crap at home. Saw the family. I got my laptop batteries and stuff, i decided the 6 hour battery weighs way too much, besides why would i need to use my laptop for 8 hours on batteries. So i'm selling that, but keeping the 2 normal batteries i have, and now i have 2 ac adapters, so i can just keep one in my backpack and not have to unplug all the time. Anyways i got back and we went to the dance, which scott , brent, kenny and some girls scott or brent knows were going to. I still dont understand why all of them besides kenny go to UCLA dances. especially since it costs $15. I'd say with my laptop hooked up to the speakers, its possible i could have DJ'd a better music mix. Anyways, i figured most asians dont move their feet very much, i've learned a lot from tolu i guess, so i move my feet a lot. It was kinda dumb they played some c-walking music, and well most people cant do that since its hard. anyways soon i will dance like usher matt just wait. UH.... anyways it wasnt that great a dance, since all the people were in big ass clumps and there wasnt much room, and it was hot. I also realized that rave style dancing is retarded. I watched some girl do it, and well she looked like she was just hopscotching around and spinning like she was on crack or something. We left around 1 and went to dennys. Connies apartment is really nice by the way.

Well its the first day of october. I went to music 15 today. that class is great. i am enjoying it. Math 151a on the other hand, almost put me to sleep and after looking at the homework i wanna just die now. I hope i pass that class. same teacher as math 33b i had, which is also the only other math class i didnt get a b- or higher in. After that i applied for job #6 in ackerman, computer network tech support for asucla. I think i have a good shot at getting it, since i was applying against people who had no experience in it, and well i have 2 job references in tech support. Its 8.50 an hour, and its convenient, so if i get it i'll be real happy. 15 hours a week, so like $90-100 probably. not bad i guess. After that my hair was itchy, so i got a haircut, and my hair is really short again.
Also matt is hooking me up with a 20 gig travel star hard drive for $70 for my laptop. So then i can install it, and not be all running out of space like i am on my 12 gig. Basically my laptop is a state of the art desktop PC from when we started college. so 2 years ago. I have been taking it on campus, but my schedule doesnt have that many holes so i only used it once so far. Its like carrying an extra book so its not that bad, its pretty good that it fits in my backpack too. I got my new ethernet card with a dongle, but its real annoying so i decided to just keep both cards, and use the dongled one in the rare case that i need a cdrom and no dock, since well its like a $15 card anyways. I think my other laptop is finally gonna be sold on ebay, and also my server is built, justneed to install it, which i havent. right now the server is a celeron 400, with this super cheap motherboard that has built in video and sound, has 2 ethernet cards (3com too..) and a 4x cdr and a 40 gig drive and 64mb ram. I guess i'll just use it to burn CDs, cost me about the same to build as a external firewire casing for my cdr, plus i can sell my firewire stuff too.
