Well the econ midterm was pretty easy. Again i'll thank andy. I have my p3-550e running at 733 1.55 volts now which is
.1 volts lower than a regular p3-733. My cool golden orb should come. My camera and speakers sold for $260 and $36 respectively.
I wrote my ASM program up in 6S lounge yesterday. It worked pretty well straight off paper. Now to do the lame psuedo code and C++
version. I think i did it the backwards way again. I'm going to torrance today for my cousins wedding.
Oh yeah me and Tolu are in Rieber 2S room 226 next year. We are next to the bathroom, lounge and elevator, and out
floor has the technology theme. We realized that we'd miss the bathroom at Courtside but a double here is $1250 more
for same mealplan so it made sense that the $1250 could be better spent. Scott by some coincidence (we didnt talk this over)
is in Rieber 285, so were on opposite sides of the lounge. He got screwed over since he had to wait in line and he ended up there.
Tolu really wanter Sproul, but i won a coin flip and fate decided Rieber for us. Anyways i have to get ready to go home now.

Well today was pretty good. Thanks to andy i didnt fail my midterm, i think i might have got in the 80% range. Also
i've been playing with the p3-550e i have and well its running at 809mhz stable. Yes i dont need all that speed and i
cant even feel it but its a strange hobby. Anyways i ordered a fan online for it so it doesn't melt into a pile of goo.
I also bought another 550e and same motherboard for $255 online. I'll part it out and make my standard 20%. Also i now
have to make a big decision. Reiber or Sproul. I want Reiber but i have to convince Tolu that Sproul is a yellow lighted
smelly cesspool and that walking up those stairs wont kill him. Its so tough to leave our little quad. We had the coolest
quad this year. Anyways i've got an econ midterm tommorrow. Also that evil satan bitch had to let me off the hook
about the visual studios because the grant they have with microsoft says its for whatever use we want. HAHAHA! I was so happy
when she said that. She looked all disappointed. Then she said its still a common sense thing. Like i shouldn't have sold
it if i had common sense. Thats dumb. I did 2 hours worth of work for $600... its only common sense to do it instead of get $0.

I was reading my econ book and i have to say that it speaks many truths. It says that you cant count on the kindness
of others, which is true. And it says that capitalism has the best for everyone. I mean people are motivated generally
to improve conditions for themselves. So they sell things or offer their services to make money. They take what the market
will bear and someone pays for it eventually. It is a relationship of mutual benefit. The seller makes profit, the buyer
gets the good that they desire. And no matter what price the seller sells at the buyer must be happy because in now way were
they forced to buy from that seller. They could have found a cheaper/better one. The book says that people see the government
as a big entity that is doing things for the good of the people. But it is that same issue of trying to advance one self (being
materialistic some would say) that makes the government innefficient. The bueraucracy gets nothing out of doing a good job so they
do a crappy one since they get something out of not doing much work (which would be having to do less work). Anyways i think
this econ book is really cool, my professor wrote it (i've never seen him), but the class is too easy.
Well anyways today was a very good day money wise for me. Well besides stocks, but hey stocks go up and down all the time.
I got my p3-500e finally so at least now i know i'm not getting screwed by that guy. I also won an auction on ebay for a p3-550e
and a msi-6309 motherboard (same as i have) for only $240. Now the chip by itself sells for $230 on ebay so i'm gonna make mad profits.
THe chip is guaranteed to 760 mhz too. Also my other 550e should be coming tommorrow and then that will become a 600e from terry.
So then i'll have an 800mhz+. Anyways i was testing my crucial pc100 ram (thanks jason / connie) and well apparently it works at 143mhz
and possibly 147mhz but my motherboard flakes out at that speed. I guess i'll try it on another board. But its real good because at 143mhz
bus i can run the 600e at 858mhz. Screamingly fast cool. So i'm gonna have way too many extra parts. If i dont sell anything
i'll have a p3-500e, 550e, 600e and celeron 466 in my room , not to mention an extra motherboard. So if anyone out there wants a new
p3-700+ system, well come by my room and hand me $290ish. Yes i got that for $240. And yes i will sell it to the highest bidder and it will
be mutually beneficial! I love capitalism.
Also today i went to math. And terry / james i found out what a parallelpippete is. Gaurav said its like when they say paraboloid. Its
a parallelogram but 3d. So like a box with a parallelogram base. Yeah my prof kept saying that an i swear the whole room had no idea what the hell
he was talking about.

Check this out. The Stealth Geek FAQ. Click Here. BTW i stole
the link of Alan Kwan's page. I'm sure none of you read it. Also i traded Gaurav my Internet keyboard pro USB and my smartmedia
16mb card for his Natural Pro USB and $10. So now i'm learning how to type right on this split key monstrosity. At least my
arms aren't hurting but i'm gonna have to get used to this.

You know whats real sad is that THS can put this much effort into this prom blink182 thing yet academically (according
to daily breeze last year SAT9 scores and such) they are the worst in torrance with highest drop out rate, lowest scores etc.
Another thing, i'm am annoyed with is this stupid ass Elian thing. The system works because we enforce its rules. If we let
one kid stay then the next time a fishin boat from China comes we have to keep them all too right. And the next time some mexicans
cross the border we have to let them stay. We should have kicked thatkid out 4 months ago like they do to all other illegal immigrants.
But noooo... the government fearing bad PR lets him stay letting the evil media generate public sympathy. So now we kick him out
and the problem is exacerbated since everyone knows who this kid is and "cares" about him. Fuck no one cares about this kid. He'll probably end
up living in Cuba the rest of his life and no one will give a rats ass. If he stayed here he'd live in florida and no one would have cared. But since no
one really cares either way , we are not going to bend the foundations of this country because of one stupid ass kid that no one give a real rats ass
about. I mean if you want to help the cause of little kids out go to the inner-city and be a mentor. I had a chance to meet my roomate tolu's mentee
from Crenshaw. He was a really great kid and tolu is gonna try to guide him to college. At least this way you aren't messing with the system.
Besides that is his biological father. I mean fuck. When some kid gets adopted in americas sometimes his biological father or something will
want to get him back and usually they give it to him. Americans are total hypocrites. I"m not saying giving it to a father that may be worse than
his adoptive family is right. But at like mr. pang used to tell us. "Be consistant". Consistant with your laws and everything else because that
way people might actually respect what the american government is doing, which is why they are shipping his cuban ass back to cuba. And on that thought
the stupid embargo with Cuba is totally retarded. Why doesn't someone just kill Castro already so we can lift the embargo?

Here i read this post on the anandtech offtopic forum. "Why some asian guys hate asian girls" It was interesting. Yes anandtech is a computer hardware review site but the message boards
have everything, like those hot deals. Heres a link to the rest of the replies.

Well today i skipped all my classes. Me and Terry had to settle a bet so we missed them all. Anyways i bet him
that he didnt really do something stupid and break a pin on his processor on purpose. But he did so i had to buy him dinner.
So i was real hungry so we went to mongols again. I think in a couple years i'll get sick of that. I found out my p3-550e will
be here on tuesday. The guy with my other p3-500e is flaking out apparently. He got two negative feedbacks recently, most likely
since he was in florida. I hope i get that one soon. I'm starting to worry after sending him $240 for $120 worth of stuff and
the 2 negatives. I guess you win some you lose some. Ebay has helped me make $1300 this year about half of which i've spent.
Anyways I'm trying bartering now. A guy on the anandtech.com for sale forum, traded me 128 mb of ram for my tekram via 133 board that
was sitting on the ground and $10. So we swapped and then i traded the 128 to gaurav for $45 and his 64. So i should make a little cash and get rid
of my stuff. My room is really getting cleaned out of stuff to sell. Good thing I have more stuff coming to replace it.
I got $49 for my tv card and sound card that i'm not using.
I've been debating whether i should upgrade from my motherboard's built in sound card and i decided that i'm too cheap for that.
I think i'm gonna definitely sell my digital camera now too, since i need cash from all the money being sent out.
I'm gonna work on this page again soon, but today i had a lot of work to do. I did project 2 of CS33 at terry's (well i told terry what to do because i was lazy)
so i'm just gonna copy the results he got. So then i worked on project 3 in the lounge today. Let me just say that it is pretty hard because you have
to do everything in ASM with only one register. Sucks because real processors have like 8-32 general purpose registers and well we get one
so we have to keep swapping to memory with our one register to get anything done. We only have one because the CUSP (emulated imaginary processor we are learning ASM for)
is supposed to be really simple but the one register thing makes it more complicated. Anyways basically ASM makes and C++ program 8 times longer and
3 times as hard to code. I hope I'll have this done by the end of the week but i have a lot of reading to do apparently, its about half done now. Oh
yeah Terry got in a car accident too. A minor one. Some idiot tried to pass him up going the wrong way on the other lane and he tried to turn left.
Their car is a little fucked up he said, but they didnt get hurt, so its not too bad. Dammit its too quiet here.
Like half the people left like they always do for the weekend, and half of the people who dont usually go home went home because its easter. Oh well i'll get some work done.
Ok i got to go to sleep.

Ok this is the last thing....I'm just gonna clarify what a generalization is, I'm not adding to my argument.
Assuming there are 4000 students per year up to 4 years so freshmen to seniors. That is 16000 which means
8000 north campus if it is evenly split. Now if there are 2000 design/theatre arts/music majors here (i doubt it considering connie said there
are only 50 design majors a year, but i am gonna be conservative) then 75% are still in languages, sociology, psych, econ, history so yeah I
can make a generalization on north campus majors based on just 3/4 of them. Besides i was careful enough to try and use the words "some" and "most"
in my other posts which aren't the same "all". Sometimes i even put SOME in all caps. And yes econ is a cop out major which is why i said
any south campus major could do well in econ. My cousing majored in it, i think just to graduate since he doesn't even work
in that field. No one has a passion for econ. I dont think that is possible.

2:47 PM 4/20/2000 |
First off i never said we were better or smarter at anything. I'm saying this ONLY. First off chem and math are GEs and not south
campus-only classes. Econ majors and most everyone have to take math anyways. Engineers do have to take a little english but i'm not saying thats a north
campus class. I'm saying that 3rd year if everyone had to take the same classes. Say everyone took EE2, CS100 something, some uppder-div art class, some
upper-div sociology class, that south campus would have better grades overall. Pretty simple concept. I'm not saying we'd do better then north campus
in the art and sociology classes, but that because of our overall more well rounded-ness that we'd do better overall. That was the original argument
and i mentioned it in the last post "if we switched classes 3rd year south would hang tougher than north". So maybe you cant read or something or i cant write.
Lastly here is a fun fact. Engineers are artists (functional art mostly, you take a structural engineer and they can design the building so that it is both
earthquake proof and look nice, you take an architect and he makes it look a little better, but then its a death trap).
From now on when i say artist i mean artist/musician/writer etc basically something creative.
Here is a definition of artist from dictionary.com (its the 2nd definition)
"A person whose work shows exceptional creative ability or skill:". Yes we are artists in at least some form. And i'm sure there are engineers
who fit the first definition "One, such as a painter or sculptor, who is able by virtue of imagination and talent to create works of aesthetic value,
especially in the fine arts." I mean hell i can draw. Most of us can draw pretty well. We can color/paint those drawings. I can be creative. Now lets look at
the definition of engineer "One who is trained or professionally engaged in a branch of engineering.". Most artists don't fit this. Which is why I say we are more well rounded
it is much easier for us south campusers to branch out into your realm and at least be mediocre than it is for you to come into our realm and be mediocre. And i'm not
talking about math 30 series, chem 20 series or all that BS. Those are GEs. We can't even get into your design classes, it is major restricted (believe me i tried to sign
up for a design class last quarter , yeah one in 3d studio max but still it was design and i couldn't get in) and you can't sign up for any CS , EE, mechanical engineering
classes etc. Those are the classes i'm talking about that minimum we could be mediocre in yours and you'd be less then that in ours. Making the south more rounded and the north less so.
I never said we'd do better. I said we were more rounded. Read what i wrote. Oh yeah and Connie that stuff about being called a nerd, anti-social etc. Well i'm not saying that you called me
that in your post. You have before though and they have articles in the daily bruin talking about us being afraid of sunlight, glued to monitors, etc and it may be true for SOME but at least
we have the class not to write articles in the school newspaper about how broke-ass SOME of you guys will be when you get out of college. And lastly I've got one thing to
say. You guys seem to be very offended by this. All i said was that I thought we were more well rounded than north campus. Lastly, you guys have been telling us
that weren't well rounded for years now and we don't get all PMSy like you guys.

3:15 AM 4/20/2000 |
Hey i'm just saying... if we switched classes 3rd year south would hang tougher than north. First off the north campus majors i named were
psych, sociology (forgot to add that), history and econ (jj , I know you are gonna say something about the basic chem in psych for hormones and shit)
Also if you read the book "When wizards stay up late" (its a book about the beginning of the internet)
you would know what CS majors majored in before there was CS. A lot majored in acoustic design.
THe people who created the internet knew how to design buildings so that music sounded good in them. How about those high end sounding speaker systems? Oh guess who
built that, people who know what good sound sounds likes. Hey.... wait.. those people, they're engineers. Woah! big surprise. Lastly i'd like
to make this last point in my argument. First off design, music, art, etc is a matter of opinion. Say i painted something. Some people might actually
like it. I see some blob of paint splattered on a canvas and i'm like what they hell is that, but some people like it and they think its art. The imac
some people like it some people don't. Its opinion. So south campus majors can make art that south campus majors like and it is still art/music/design because
you because its an opinion and there will always be people who like it. I mean i have a motherboard hanging on my wall, if i glue some bad cd-rs onto it
and some metal pieces some people might like it. Now we go to the south side. We CREATE stuff too. Too bad it only works one way. If it works it
works, if it doesnt it doesnt. You build a car one way. You write programs in one way. North campus majors cant build a car and say if drives
if it doesn't drive. Plus we do have talent. So what if you are good at music or art(we'll say the generally accepted music or art that north campus majors
consider music or art). Connie said that we have no talent because we are just trained into learning how to build things. She's basically saying
if you took like 1000 math classes then anyone could be south campus. Not so. We have just as good a chance of developing "north campus accepted" art talent as you have
of developing logic skills by taking classes. But no we can fall back on our own art that some people MIGHT like.
Cool, i started a web war. Everyone get in now! Lastly, Connie said she doesn't like bashing what she study. You know since the complaining is starting, i really
dont like being called a nerd, anti-social, uncreative, or the all-mighty "not well rounded" (damn i hate that one) either. And you know what you
are bashing ME, not just what i study. THe Daily Bruin (run by north campusers mostly) has articles bashing the south and even little
cartoons making fun of us. You guys think that is all funny and all. ITS NOT. And if you guys say i take that too seriously, then you shouldn't
be complaining about my last post.

Well today i ate breakfast. Too bad i got there late only had waffles. I was like 15 minutes late for my meeting
with the bitch ho mother fucker white trash dean again. HAHAHAHA! It was so funny. She emailed all the professors
about whether they explicitly said you couldnt sell. One of them just returned her email and the other didnt respond. HAHAH!.
So now i have to go back next week since she's gonna try again, but if they dont respond (which they wont, they haven't
responded to my emails about a regrade for 3 weeks) she cant do anything. And even if they do respond, they never said that
so i can look forward to her not getting her way!!! I ate at sbarro today because i got a meal coupon. That was good.
Then i went to pic which was retarded. Then went to math were the prof got mad at us for talking.
Lastly heres my new theory on why south campus is more well-rounded than north campus majors. See if a south campus major
takes say econ or history or psych or something and TAKES IT SERIOUSLY (that is the key) they could get like a 3.8 GPA.
If north campus tried to do CS or Mechanical engineering, they be fucked in the ass (well like 90% of them). So in that
way it means that us south campuser's are more able to do more subjects thus being more well rounded. Well James sharp, terry
scott and gaurav and some random guy in my math class agreed. Then again we are all engineers. Lets see what some north
campusers think.
And lastly, all those people who say that with north campus types the world would be deviod of art, literature, music
etc. But no it wouldn't be. It'd just be different types of art, literature, music etc. Like take computer games for
example. The modeling and the art work and network code and algorithms. It is a form of expression and can be considered literature.
literature. Hell we have video game music. I mean that music from megaman kicked ass. And look at the designs and creativity
involved in circuit designs, case designs, consumer electronic designs, car designs. All made by engineers. The reason they
say there would be no literature and art and music is that the music and art and literature left over if all the north campus
types didnt exist, is the type of art and music and literature that they don't like. Leonardo da Vinci was an engineer, for some
reason people just liked his art too. So yeah. Engineers RULE you.

Ok i played with my site again. I think it looks cool. Do you? Also i got a cool thing for all you
gamers from back in the day. I wanted to play lemmings but my DOS version didnt work well in win98 and
wont work at all in windows2000 :( So i searched for warez and luckily this time i found the windows version
of the full game (not a stupid sample again) and it also has the expansion pack "Oh no more lemmings". It works
in NT too.
Download it.

Today i ate breakfast at 8 am. MMM omelete. It was good. Then i went back to sleep. And woke up around 1.
Went to the post office to ship out carter's voodoo2 to the guy who wanted to buy it. Then went to math discussion
where i was able to do i thought decently on my quiz. The guy said radius was the density, but then terry said
it was the x. Our guy said radius i'm pretty sure, but if not i'm screwed. the answer i got seemed good at least. After
that i went to econ discussion for the 2nd time this quarter. I took some notes, and now i caught up for the last two weeks. That
class is way too easy. Then i ate dinner with connie and terry. Ribs werent nearly as good as the last time. Then i played some IM basketball
where i played decently , but i was a little hyper and we were pretty disorganized. We lost again, but this was probably still our best game
this year. Gaurav and Scott were bored and came and watched.
Also my p3-550e didnt come. Either that or the hedrick people didnt sort it right. well i guess today wasn't too exciting. I think i'm
gonna go eat breakfast again tommorrow. It helps my energy level. Tommorrow is my 2nd meeting with the bitch ass from hell, i mean the
assistant dean. I want to see the look on her face when she tells me she can only give me a warning. HAHAHA. Oh yeah, i stole
some more CSS stuff from some other pages. So now my links have that cool A:hover thing where if you put the mouse on it
the link underlines. I think i stole it from anands.

3:11 AM 4/18/2000 |
Well i didn't do too much today. It rained so i didnt feel like going to class. Sunday night i stayed up
real late doing math from last week. Double integrals suck. They aren't hard to understand its just our professors
are such jackasses that they always make us do the problems with the hardest integrals. I mean that isn't really
the theory, its just making us waste tons of paper writing out a whole bunch of stuff. Total busy work. well anyways
that sucked. Today i called the guy that is supposed to be sending me a p3-500e flip chip processor. Bad thing
is that he looked into why i didnt get it from when i asked on friday last week. He never got my money because the damned
post office lost it. I hate the government. They can't do anything right. Or at least not as well as a private
company could have done it. I mean with UPS if you lose a package they eventually find it. If the Post Office loses
it well it basically disappeared of the earth. Anyways i had to pay $2.75 to file a claim form to make the Post Office
people see if anyone cashed my money order. If they didn't then i get a refund of my $125. ANyways i had terry write
me a check since i still dont have a checking account and i sent it to the guy. So the p3-500 will come by this weekend,
but end up potentially costing me twice as much. I also went to the STC and they said even if i have my prepaid air bill
for my broken Iiyama monitor that they charge $3 handling to give it to the fedex pickup guy. Damn people are just raping me
for money everywhere. So tommorrow my p3-550e should come from onvia, terry will test it and then most likely give me his
600e. Then i'll have an 800mhz. Sick huh.
Also yesteday i went to mongols again. Damn i love that place. I walked over there and met mary and terry and I ended
up paying for everyone. I mean i was paying for terry already and it was gonna be real awkward and anyways some idiot
on ebay gave me $61 for a $29 motherboard so i figured i could afford it. Another cool thing is some guy offered me
a Palm III for my $25 mp3 player. He's gonna ship it here and were gonna trade. Damn Palm III for $25. Can't beat that.
I dont know if i'm gonna keep it just like i'm not sure whether or not i'm selling my digital camera. If i sell both the camera
and the palm III that is like $400. But, if i dont I could be
an uber-nerd supreme, Digital camera, rio, palm iii and an 800mhz. Boy i'd be real proud. Yeah.
Yeah as for this webpage. I changed the background color. Everything right now is controlled by CSS. Its dope. No more
editing every little thing by hand. Also i noticed something. I'm the only one who kept an accurate counter because i'm
the only one on geocities. Anyways, my page is approaching its 1 year anniversary, and i've got like 9600 hits almost.
So that means some people go to my site way too much.
