I noticed no one has been posting much lately. Well except connie. GO connie! for still posting. Anyways i figured i'd post.

I had a great weekend. One of the better weekends i've had all year. I actually got reading done in psych and econ. Not like it matters, my grades are dropping like rocks. But thats ok. I watched about 5 NBA playoff games this weekend. That was part of the great weekend. The weather was nice. And i had lunch with someone i really wanted to have lunch with. That was probably the best part.

Now its the weekdays again, and i'm looking forward to tommorrow since i get to play basketball in Pauley again for my IM team. THe last game we played around 2 weeks ago we won because jordan browne played for us. Actually for a while we were losing by a lot because jordan is a showboat and some guys on my team were even complaining but he did help us win. Hell i even scored 3 points man. That ruled, i got freethrows when i didnt even get fouled. Alice Wang oddly was our referee , dont know if that made any difference in our game.

And good things just keep happening. I've been selling stuff like mad, and making a ton , enough to pay for my trips to westwood to buy food. I got 5 pentium 2 300s for $80, and they are selling for like $55 each on average. Thats a lot of food yo. And i got a 17" flat panel monitor, same one as randy's for $715. I'm so tempted to keep it, but i wont. I'm actually almost done selling off the crap in my room, its all going great. Only thing that is not going well is that work part of school, but its not that bad.

I havent updated in a while.... Well i've done a couple things since i last updated. Yesterday i dropped ee103 insane math , and signedup for psych 10 quite possibly the easiest class in the world. My RA told me that the professor had built up a reputation ... I've been reading the book and i kinda like the concepts, so i might actually use this as my coherant group or maybe even my minor since it only has one lower div. I read that one famous psychologist was actually a compsci guy who applied compsci algorithms to human thinking.

I also finished my linux box. My nics and cables and hub came. I installed mandrake 7.2 last night, and well that was unbelievably easy. However i get wierd 2d glitches. Maybe it doesnt like the i810 chipset i dont know. But for the most part it works, and i even installed rc5 on it. I cant figure out how to install sshd though. Its not installed at first, but even when i did it still didnt work. And when i changed the security levels it still didnt matter. Its actually pretty interesting to play with linux, and its also good for resume and job purposes. Hopefully i can learn more of mandrake and move on to something hard core by the end of the quarter. It takes forever to get things done if its not in a super easy rpm though, because its so hard to read the how tos, and then you have to read how tos for stuff in the how tos. Anyways its something to do i guess.

I've also spent a good deal of time buying random stuff from anands that i feel will sell for a lot. The other day i got this really unique card. Its a matrox g100 mms for $45. Its basically 4 matrox g100s on one card and has 4 monitor outs. I could see how cool that could be if i had 4 flat panel monitors. That was a relatively lucky deal as they are worth $120 or so on ebay. I also got my avc soulplayer finally. Cost me $130 total to get it here. Its exactly the same as a rio volt except its beige and the buttons are shaped differently. Its real cool, plays mp3s off any type of burned CDs. I use it in class a lot.

What else? what else? oh yeah last weekend i went to magic mountain with my floor. It was really fun, like we went on goliath and riddlers which i had never been on , since they weren't open last time. Also superman, which wasn't really all that great, it was actually kinda lame considering how long we had to wait for that. The lines weren't really that long because it was raining in the morning, but still superman had the longest line. We ate at that chicken place that me jason and scott used to eat at every time we went back in the day, by my suggestion. After we got back we ate at mongols because me and ben's friend bryan who is like a 3rd year said it was good. And yes it was good, but i felt really cold since me and 2 other guys decided to go on one of those water log rides, right at the end just to be retards. We went twice and it was so cold but it was fun. I even have pictures of us on the carousel which i'll put below.

A few days after magic mountain i went to connie's "party". I dont know why they threw a party, but we played this one game where you describe stuff with a wheel or something of words. I had to sacrifice my palm pilot batteries for the buzzer. Mary started crying or acting funny or something after i did that which was real odd. They had pizza and stuff, and i was kinda sad because i ate already and that would have been much better food. Overall it was fun.

I cant believe this, i am so excited about my cs118 class. Programming the tcp/ip stack. WOOOOhoooo!!! i knew that going through all those other crappy classes was gonna pay off. Our first project is a web server or an ftp program or something like that. Hopefully i can program my own napster after i finish this class. I already have a database and some other stuff written from one of my old classes, with querying and text searching with partial words. So if i could combine that with the server part oh yes we could have hans napster. Man maybe i can write an AIM client or something later too. This is gonna be sooo cool, this is what compsci is about, its about getting me excited to take a class. Also on a sadder note i got a C in econ 2 also.

Also i am building another computer for my Cs118 class to test stuff. Its so far a i810 motherboard, with 64mb pc133, a celeron 366 , and 8x burner (couldn't find anything else to use as a cdrom) , and a 6.4 gig hard drive and a ethernet card. Your basic college kid business box. It'll be running either redhat, mandrake, solaris, corel or debian based on jason's suggestions. I'm thinking maybe i'll dual boot it with windows 3.11 workgroups just for fun. HAHA. its only costing me $200 to build it all and its not a bad computer at all too.
