Man its almost may. Crazy. This school year has gone by fast. Well ... it will have been a pretty interesting year. Anyways, this weekend i went home on friday night. Me randy and matt drove to the boringest place on earth. Yes you know it, Irvine. Man that was so boring. Anyways we got back and ate at Norms. So like the next day, i basically just played with the picturebook. That thing sucks, so its back on ebay. Horribly slow. Other than that actually it was pretty good, but for the price its WAY to slow. Also i've been kinda worried lately about whether i'll have an apartment next year or not, since alex might move. SO me and tolu might have to look again which would suck. OH yeah congratulations to Connie , she finally got DSL!. Isnt it a great club to be in connie? I got like chewed out by mom about something stupid for a while, man she's crazy. Anyways, that also sucked, but i didnt really let it bother me too much. So I came back up here, to try and do my econ homework, but instead i hung out with my friend mark for a while and he fell asleep at my apartment. The econ homework wasnt that bad but i was behind by 3 weeks , so i did that today. I still have some CS 151 homework to do, i dont know if i can even finish it, since thats a really hard class. Oh well, at least i found some of the answers for my cs143 homework online, because melkanoff stole them from a final at stanford. haha.

Also i thought rc5 was a good measure of computer stability. I was very wrong. I had my computer running at 2.133 ghz at 1.45 volts (supposed to be 1.5, but the motherboard says its only getting 1.45). All seemed well for 2 days of rc5, but then it just rebooted by itself. I redid the heatsink with arctic silver, but still it didnt work right, a prime95 test revealed it was screwed up within 2 minutes. Prime95 is very good. Anyways, apparently i can do a mod with a little wire to make my voltage 1.7 volts, and then my system would be rock solid at 2.133 ghz. But i dont think i'll even bother. It still is hella fast. I figure either i'll go all stock, or all overclocked with my video card overclocked too, but i wont even notice, since i have yet to play a game. OH well what a waste. I also got a good deal on 512mb of generic board micron pc2100 ddr ($105 shipped) so i guess i'm upgrading ram to more also, i probably wont notice that either but whatever. Since i'm in no laptop limbo, i figure i can make my desktop nice. Man my wireless equipment is all going to waste too.

Well i'm in torrance. i've been taking it pretty easy the last couple days, and well that means i'm behind now. i was caught up 2 days ago too, damn. Anyways i'm here playing with my picture book. Now its not that great. The keyboard was surprisingly good, and so is the screen, but its painfully slow. Back to ebay it goes i guess, with me taking a profit as usual. I guess i'll have to play with the compaq evo n400c to see if i like it also, but i doubt i'll keep it as i'm needing money more than a laptop recently. Oh well. I also am now on day 6 of the absolutely no soda challenge, and so far i feel pretty good. And i had a nice dinner today. So that was good too. Cool

Well since i have no life, i've done basically nothing. Its kinda depressing that i have absolutely no focus in my life. I just kinda wander around physically and mentally . I dont know, its hard to really care that much about anything right now, i just dont know why. When i get into not caring mode i tend to play with computers more.. so look below for what i've done with that. Also i had a stats midterm on friday. It was really long , but pretty easy. The only thing i didnt get was i forgot the name for some way of sampling so i just wrote "polling" and i forgot how to draw a boxplot right. Oh well i probably got like a 90 still and its only 10% of my grade. Man someone save me, i'm bored and have no life. I am a loser.

I put together my computer the other day. At first i went to pc club to get the case finally and well, they accidentally sold the one they were holding for me. Anwyways, i went back the next day on the way to torrance, and they geve me $13 off so i guess its not too bad, except my hour and a half i wasted driving on friday. I put it together on friday actually since i was so bored with a p4 power supply i "borrowed" from best buy. But its in the real case now, pics below. The computer is loud as hell though because of the p4 fan so i ordered a fan speed ajuster thing, so i can make it quiet. Since i sold my laptop i also went on ebay to buy a newer cooler more stylish one. Got me a sony C1vn picture book with dvd drive for what i sold my HP for. I guess i could resell that to make more money but well i'll play with it. Some idiot bought my really crappy toshiba laptop with broken floppy for $650 on ebay. Man ebay people are dumb, that thing cost me like $350. oh well, i guess this pays for the new desktop so cool.

Well i havent been doing too much lately. I did my taxes. Oh and i did the esuc bbq which was pretty fun. There are like 100s of pictures of it at esuc's site. Anyways, i think i am bored because well i decided to build a new desktop system out of boredom. I am using this nice inwin case , its like 5.5 inches wide and 13.5 inches tall so its really small. I'm waiting for pc club on westwood to get it in stock so i can buy it. The other stuff i bought was a p4 1.6 with a coolermaster fan on anands for $112 shipped. Some people said i shoulda gone with the p4-1.6 A northwood for $142 shipped, but i didnt wanna risk not being able to overclock, plus i dont need 2.133 ghz or need to spend $30 more. its already expensive as it is. I got a ECS microatx sis 650 board. Has like video and sound and lan, $70 + shipping and tax so $88. I was just gonna use the onboard video which is tnt2 speed, but well i saw a good deal on anands fs/ft forum for a pny geforce 4 mx440 for $80 shipped. Its got lifetime warranty, and normally is like $110 + shipping and tax for this brand so good deal again. And lastly i traded my winxp pro and visual studio .net CDs i got for free from microsoft , a 10 gig laptop drive i was using for backups (i can use my laptop for backups now since ill have a desktop) and $50 for a 12x10x32 cdrom, a new 20 gig drive, and a 256mb pc2100 dimm. So all in all i spent like $375 and those things i traded away. I guess i can finally sell my usb cdrw since i wont need it anymore. I'm still debating whether i should even buy a floppy drive. haha.

Anyways i felt i should write that out for some reason. Probably because i'm a big nerd. At least i can play warcraft 3 at a fast speed again. Ugh now for csm151b homework which i have been procrastinating on . i'll probably start soon, hopefully get it done in 2 hours or less.

My faithful readers! I have not forgotten you. I just have been lazy, I am sorry it will not happen again, well not too much. Anyways my first week of school was pretty well.. blah. Went to class on monday and well, that was interesting i guess. CS151b was ok, econ 101 someone played an april fools joke and it said to go to another room so like me and 80 people just sat there. And stats was interesting though very very dumb. Pretty girls in there though. Anyways Tuesday i went to cs143 with melkanoff, pretty much can say that that class is useless. Went to stats again for lab, on imacs. Horrible, but yeah. I then decided to skip the next 3 days of class, because hey, everything was review or something trivially easy. So now i'm just doing all the homeworks for the 4 classes. I'm done with csm151b and stats m11. m11 was horrible it was sooo easy but soo long. And 151b was basic, turn these asm instructions into binary, which is almost as painful as the stats was. 143 should be easy, and econ 101 isnt due for a week and it looks fairly easy since its review from econ 11. So not bad. I also sold my IBM t23 that i bought on anandtech for $1500 for $2330. Also got a used Toshiba 1675 cds celeron 550 laptop for like $340 so i'll have to sell that to buy some clothes again or something. Or a new watch that doesnt break all the time. So i got money for the quarter again, but i'm thinking of investing it in beaten down stocks namely Intel and Nvidia. Two companies fanboys hate, but investors love.

Oh yeah on Monday i played basketball for 3 hours, since i went to check out my friend Linda's dance fitness class, but decided ball was for me. Wednesday checked out her street jams class, but balled for 5 hours . Got me running again, and i'm really playing inconsistant but that should come back next week with more ball. Yesterday i went with my friends mark and kenny to venice beach randomly at 11pm. That looked pretty nice, just there was nothing there but bums. We felt kinda wierd wandering around as 3 guys, but we saw 3 other guys doing it who were like 30 , so for a minute that didnt seem that bad, but then i realized i could be doing that in 10 years. Oh well, at least we went out right? Oh well, i'm currently bored out of my mind outside of doing homework. I need some new activities to pursue. Oh well, it'll come to me they say.
