in case you're wondering what the A- is for, it's Program in Computing 1- the history of electronic computers and how to use them. which is pretty weird, considering that i thought i would do pretty good in a class full of die-hard idiots. my parents weren't thrilled either, when they found out that the class i did the best in deals with stuff any moron should know (quit asking me if i'm rollin) but anyways, i think i'm pretty set on dropping out of UCLA and going to be a janitor in silicon vallye, along with terry, who is gonna be a mop cleaner. anyways, i just realized that i have to start doing some math, otherwise i'll be up all night tonight. i'm out...

Hmm... i was having an almost decent day. Then i checked my grades on URSA. Got a C in CS33. This blows. I need to get an A- in econ now to stay aboe 3.0 GPA. Dammit. Terry got a C+. The fact that i did all 4 programs and he did 1 of them, apparently doesnt matter at all in their grading scheme. Damn i must have failed all the tests. I mean so what if i cant calculate numerical shifts in my head really really fast. Thats not what programming is about. But noooooo.. that was what the tests were all about. Fuck. Maybe i should just learn PERL and JAVA now, and quit school. Doesn't seem like that bad an idea if i could get a decent job. I'd have a 3 year head start right.... And to top it all off I went to my physics class today and that was mind bogglingly fast. He derived like a jillion equations form F=MA. I hope i do pretty decently this summer or else my GPA is gonna suck.

Well my first day of summer session ended. I can say that Physics 1B is the worst thing on earth. And the feeling you get when you pay $265 for 5 books (3 of them used) if just pure violation. I've been using my dad's cool laptop. And now i want one. Its seems really fast considering its a p2-300 and 64mb of ram. Probably all i really need, except maybe with twice as much ram and maybe a celeron 500 or something. Its got this great 13" LCD screen. Really easy on the eyes. I'm actually trying to find out if i can sell my computer and have enough money to get a decent laptop but i'm doubting it.

Well anyways as for my computer, i called northwind again and sent my 2nd defective processor back. The only decent person there ryan petersen, said he'd send me a new one again personally instead of letting the shipping department break it. Anyways, he's gonna send me the 900 set to 900 this time instead of 1000 and i'll just set it to 1000 and test it myself. I'll have it by friday at home. Hopefully. Hopefully the motherboard for it still works too after i dropped it on the ground when i was mad. Anyways, i'm thinking of selling my 17 gig seagate drive since i dont need it. Anyone? $100. Well i gotta sleep now. I have a 8:30 class everyday for the next 6 weeks. This blows....

Well i called Idaho today. Northwind said they shipped it out today, i'll have it wednesday or thursday in time for the net party at least. Getting a modem finally tommorrow. Cost me $16 for 2. Not bad. Me and jason did nothing today. Went to some places , talked to randy a little, basically bored.

At night me and my cousin James went to the mall. We ate at the new mongolian place there it was pretty good. The mall was pretty dead. We ran into Brian Buenaventura and well that guy is very interesting. Dressed like a porno star. Its too much to write about and i doubt anyone cares so I wont say anything. Then I came home. My mom all freaked out that i got charged twice for summer housing, when in fact it was a bill for summer, and one for fall quarter. So then she made up some non-sensical arguement about how expensive college is to try to shift pressure onto me or something. I ignored it as usual.

Well I've been in torrance for a while now. Haven't done all that much , visited people, went to the mall a couple times, got my contacts (and for those of you who dont know i've killed like 3 of them already, thank god they are disposable). I saw shaft the other day. It was pretty good. He had a really cool gun. Today me and Jason went around again. We went to compusa and at least i got some CDrs finally. 100 for $40 was cheap. I also am really pissed at the people from northwind computer. I put my computer together but they still haven't sent me a replacement for my athlon 1000 so i cant use my computer. It blows. It better be here by the net party or i'm gonna be very very mad. Then they will die. I even bought a new 300 watt power supply for my microatx case and its all waiting for my athlon. I cant even burn all the movies and mp3s off for my brother. It sucks. Jason has my old 700 already and its great for him i figured the dammed 1000 would be here by now. Oh yeah today we hooked up a hard drive to his old case and it caught fire and started smoking and burned an IDE cable. Good thing it was only a 500 meg one.

Dammit, i'm feeling kinda mad now. I just took my final for econ and well that wasn't a big deal. But Tolu tried to mess with my mind, saying I was grumpy or something. Fuck yeah i'm grumpy sometimes. He says i just come off as grumpy and asks like gaurav and some random people in the hall about it. So i go like "how so, name an example", so he says like when sometimes i walk in the room and i say whats up and you dont say anything. Man that doesnt mean i'm grumpy. It just means i didnt hear anything or was concentrating on something or whatever. I mean when me and scott go in and out of the room we don't have to announce it or say anything to each other because it useless, no one cares that much. I ask him like well what do i have to be to not be grumpy huh? Like act like a disney character all the time and shit. He said he was just trying to mess with me , but still it pisses me off. It got brought up like a week ago by that dumb ass carolyn. She supposedly really pretty and well gaurav and tolu think she's like the prettiest girl on campus. But she's a fucking moron, she tried to convince scott that the superbowl was fixed because jerry buss (owner of the lakers...) told her so. Kind of like an ASB type but dumber and prettier. So she says i'm grumpy because everytime she walks into the room i dont turn around and immediately start drooling on the floor or stare at her breasts like gaurav does. Man fuck her. Just because you dont know me dont call me grumpy motherfuckers. And they said it fucking to me. FUck that they'd get pissed if i told them they were a bunch of dumbass mofos, but i'm not gonna go walk up to them and say that. I mean i seriously think that carolyn is as dumb as shit, but i'm not gonna go out and tell her that. But she can tell people and me that i'm fucking grumpy ass. Fuck her, she'll die. Dammit my type of people, know that i'm not grumpy. Regular people cant see throught that because they think i've got to be smiling all day and singing or some shit. Man... i was having a pretty decent day until this...

Well the athlon 1000 came, we all installed it when brian jason and matt came up. It rebooted by itself once windows booted. Great. Its supposed to work at 1.8 volts, but only works at 1.9 volts. But its soldered for 1.8. So i have to send it back to northwind now. Damn. Well i'll get a new one in a week at home, and hopefully that one will actually work. Anyways that totally sucks, but maybe if the new one works i can bump it up to 1.9 volts and run it at 1050 or 1100. Yeah....

Well after that little disaster, i also noticed that the prices of the athlon 850, 900, and 950 all went down $180 this week. Dammit this becomes a worse deal by the minute. So then we went down to westwood, and ate at mongols. Me and terry went yesterday and today so 2 days in a row. Anyways we were eating and as usual the food was great. But then this bum comes in and starts muttering at them. I was getting a refill though so i didnt personally see it, but it seemed funny when he was outside yelling at the street. Supposedly he was talking to a wall about fuckin' asians and quarters and sailing the 7 oceans or something. After that we just hung out and did nothing and then they left. Me and scott then got real bored and decided to actually clean our room and pack our stuff. Amazingly everything i own outside of clothes and computer fits in my backpack and my little reebok netparty bag. Tommorrow is my last final. Supposed to last like an hour , so it should be pretty painless. I also found out today that professor rohr changed my CS32 grade from a B+ to an A- finally. Cool, i have actually gotten an A something at UCLA now. Wow. Hopefully i can get a couple more this quarter to balance out the B-/C+s i'll probabaly get in math32b and cs33. I hope i can get a A in pic 1 because if i dont i'm an idiot. And an A- in econ would be nice...

This is cool. RIght now me and brian muranaka are on asian avenue are on AA. We created an "overclocking" chat room. A bunch of people came in, it was actually fun. one guy argued at us about how good starcraft was. Most people had no idea what overclocking was, but we still chatted. It was just funny that people went in. Oh yeah I failed my CS final. Got like a 50% on it. I'll be lucky to get a B- now. This sucks.

This is the dumbest thing i've seen today.

Well i may have completely lost my mind. The athlon 700 , 800 core i was buying got too expensive, so i said screw it'll just buy a 1000mhz one. And well thats what i'm gonna do. I should have a 1000mhz athlon pretty soon now. Maybe 3-4 days. Oh yeah i have a cool mp3 for all of you guys. Download it here. No one sings in it, its all drums and guitar pretty much. Its good.

Well that went pretty quickly. I sold all 5 of those p3-600s. Cost me $960 to get them, sold for $1620. HEHE. I gotta pay ebay like $40 though. Still quite good. I'm gonna get a new athlon 700 pre overclocked to 950 with the proceeds. I also finished the CS project. It kicked ass. I got the timers counting down on screen, animated lame looking water, a moving nozzle and it shoots the fires and they disappear and everything. So with this if i get a 94% or so again, i'll have around 92% for projects this quarter. I got like a 55% on my midterm which is pathetic, so hopefully i can do well on the final and get an A-. My first A in a real class!!! WOOHOO. I love CS. I haven't gone to class in 8 weeks. And its beautiful i tell you. Well i gotta catch up in math now. Just watch you guys at the netparty. I'll be on my athlon 950 running around q3a getting killed over and over. And i'll die at speeds no one has ever seen!!!

My cool ASM game is gonna get finished. I'm pretty happy. And i got new shoes finally. Cool. My p3-600 auctions are going pretty well. I think i'll make $600 or so. Thank you idiotic berkeley student who sold me these.
