Today i went apartment hunting again. We went to the place tolu really likes and well that place was great, i want that place. The two grad students are leaving so they are leaving their random roomate a guy who works for MGM and is like 24. He is looking for another place, so we are thinking we'll just ask him to be our roomate. Should work out hopefully. The real interesting stuff happened on the way though.

First tolu's car ran out of gas on the 405, so we had to quickly pull over and then push it to an onramp. I thought it was our lucky day, a MTA tow truck driver comes along, and its tolu's dads friend. Apparently this friend of his dad's was from back when his dad owned a chrome plating company in compton about 8 years ago. Tolu says they were really rich back then. Tolu at this point was running up the onramp since he decided to forget his wallet while walking to a gas station. He was running up like a crack addict his sister said. Yeah his 15 year old sister was with us and well we spent most of our time making fun of him. She had to come because for some reason tolu's parents wont let her stay home alone, just like my parents with valerie. Me and tolu were staying home alone since we were like 10 or something. They are also spoiling tolu's sister and buying her a new car and send her to private school. Odd how girls get it well.

Finally we get up to westwood and we are at strathmore and veteran looking at a single bedroom place. The manager wasn't there, but we found out later that this place was a crap hole and that we didnt want to walk up 4 different hills twice a day on the way to class. Strathmore and veteran is like a 30 minute walk because of the way veteran bends, and those hills are steep. Anyways tolu was dancing in the street to power 106 when he got out of his car and his sister closed the door and tolu had already locked it. So the car battery was slowly draining while the windows were all closed except the drivers window was about 2 inches open. Me having the longest and skinniest arms ended up using my left arm to try and open it with much pain. Luckily again, a handyman for one of the apartments walked by and let us use his pliers. Combined with my arm we were able to open it after about a minute of my arm being stuck inthe window and intense pain which bruised my forearm.

Then at lunch we went to mcdonalds since tolu had 2 free coupons for big macs. Anyways i didnt know it but tolu is not only afraid of dogs , he's also afraid of birds. Any birds even small ones. So a couple pigeons are there. One like flies up next to him, and tolu lets out this girlish scream and starts running into the parking lot at this outdoor mcdonalds. Me and his sister just sat there laughing at him, while about 3 or 4 female mcdonalds customers lauged at him. We were sitting outside btw, this mcdonalds had no inside. Anyways it turns out that both he and his brother who is a 210 pound , 410 benchpressing all star highschool running back, are both scared to death of birds. HAAHAHAHA! After that we were leaving and tolu's car's engine just died and shut off in the parking lot and another person laughed at us.

Well i'm gonna go see fast and the furious today with juney brian and terry. Havent done much, picked up some job apps and stuff the other day. Today i went to the mall again, and i found out macy's was hiring so i'll probably go back. My apartment situation got all screwed up agian, so we're gonna have to keep looking. we found a small place for 1150 on strathmore and veteran and well i'd love to move in but tolu is very wait and see. We have to go look at it i guess. I'm still waiting on my car, hope it gets here soon, i already am gonna miss an esuc meeting on thursday since i cant go. And i also found out that my firewire cables are worth around $13 not $8 so thats good. Been selling off my junk that i dont need, some of it at a loss like my half screwed up trackman marble. Oh well. I'm doing ok i guess, i think i'm gonna work on my jumpshot more since i'm still unemployed.

Man, this sucks. My car is shining in freaking north hollywood. And i cant get it because since its a USED car technically, the registration has to be transfered from the state it was from , and its from NEVADA!!! Damn you nevada, damn you. They are taking a long time to send it, or i'm just horriby impatient.

Not much to say today. I figured out that my trackman marble wheel scraped a little and the ball chafed against the retaining ring. I tried to sand it, but it got too annoying so i bought a new trackman wheel optical. The gray one. I looked at the microsoft trackball optical, and well that thing not only feels funny it feels like it was made in china out of happy meal plastic. Terry agreed. Jason doesnt since he has one, but its a piece of trash trust me. Its good quality is it has the back button but i'll live. terry came over and we cracked emperor onto luke's computer and its fine. We also installed it on my laptop and outside of some texture corruption on the menu screen it ran fine. We had to turn some details off but it runs. I'm debating whether to buy it, it was ok, and well i think i'll wait till its like $20-30 since it didnt strike me as completely addicting after playing 4 mission or so on my brothers computer. Its a pretty typical RTS, besides i wanna play homeworld cataclysm first. that is a pretty good game i recommend it.

Also after talking to a friend of mine who has a common problem with me, and has been through it with the same person, i give you this joke he sent me.

Anyways i'm taking the whatever happens happens perspective now, just because it seems to bother me a lot less, and i guess being at home helped a little bit. Well when i wake up today my dad will probably be back from new orleans, and well its his birthday today and i have to get him a present still sincei finally decided that his eyesight is too bad for a palm pilot anyways. My car could possibly be here tonight, but i doubt my dad will wanna go get it on his birthday so probably tommorrow.

Well today, i got up at 10:30 when tolu came over and we went to look for apartments. We are pretty settled on which one we want now, and wejust have to call brent to find out if he wants to live 3 to a large one bedroom place, or me and tolu will have to just live us 2 to a loft. Westwood was well hot, and disappointing in that a lot of other places were insanely expensive.

In my boredom after that me and tolu visited my cousin james at kfc and ate a ton of chicken that james gave us. And then we came back to my house and tolu fell asleep. After that he went home and then well i was really bored. So i decided to try and fix my trackman marble wheel's little scrapping problem by using a nail file to file down the ball retaining ring. It worked. So thats cool. Other things i've done recently, were i was able to repair my laptop by swapping parts with another broken one, and i also bought homeworld cataclysm and after a little mucking around got it to run on my laptop. It works pretty well.

A bad thing i realized is that wheni was looking up the specs on the nissan altima i came across a review that told what the specs meant. I may be getting a GXE limited edition or a GLE. The difference is leather seats. Oh well. Another thing is i was just reading connie 's page, and well ryan phillipe or whatever was the guy in antitrust and well he looked like a young bill gates or something. I think jason is coming this weekend, matt willbe back from vegas, and randy is having his last days before summer school. I will have my car too, so i think we should go do something. I think fast and the furious will be out by then so i think that it'll be a good laugh fest for us. Oh yeah if you havent already download morpheus, its so much better thannapster, and then download usher-you remind me, because i say thats a good song. Man i really feel like kareoke now. OH well, not like any of you guys would want to do that.

Well i'm sad now. I'm one of the last ones to leave reiber today, around 8pm. And well everyone i wont see for a long time. I am sitting in my room right now and well there is crap everywhere, and i'm still apartment less. Crap i'm screwed. Tolu is just too picky i just want to rent anything and get it over with.

The other reasons i'm sad are that operation steal is intercepting mixed signals. I swear its like drafting a high school nba star and developing it for like 2 years. Oh well nothing i can do. Also my friend mark pulled a little too hard on my ethernet cable yesterday and broke the clasps on my laptops built in ethernet card. So my dad is bringing the original laptop that had a busted lcd power inverter, and i'm gonna take them apart and put them together until i get one good laptop.

one really good thing did happen though. Instead of my dad getting a new car, he said he's just gonna buy me a altima from his friend for $7500. turns out its an altima GXE limited edition, with wood accents, antilock breaks, cd player and leather seats. I think i'm getting it tommorrow after i pay up. Its gonna be a pretty nice car and well a steal at that price. I guess since everyone is in berkeley/japan/las vegas/summerschool that i'll have to drive around alone. great.

The other thing is i've just been frustrated lately. Lot of things are messing with me. A good thing did happen though, my dad decided to buy a new car so i'm gonna drive his car, and i got insured too. So i'm driving a black 96 toyota camry v6(yup the last year they made the decent looking one). I'm gonna have to write a big ass check to pay my insurance now. And gas is gonna rape me, but thats ok, its worth it. Matt , jason prepare to be driven.

For school i took my econ final, i'm pretty sure i passed and well since i took the class pass no pass then thats good enough. Tommorrow is psych and that will be all right. But the next day is CS and EE on the same day and EE is gonna really suck. I dont know i'm not really stressing about this, they just dont seem that important for me to stress out about.

Today went real well. I still cant concentrate while studying. But i went with someone to study at hedrick on the grass near the gazebo. That was real nice, didnt get much done, but it was nice. Tommorrow is my econ midterm which i'm kinda prepared for , but i'll study some more in the morning after 3-4 hours of sleep. Then wednesday i have easy ass psych which i'm still getting a c+ in because of blatant stupidity. Then i'll go ahead and fail ee1 and take CS on thursday. Gonna stay here till friday night since i love this place. Hopefully i can stay in touch with people here over the summer and hopefully i have a car by the first week of summer so i can do stuff. I found out randy is in summer school, so i guess its just me matt brian and loer in town. Well gonna sleep now, i'm on tolu's computer since i shutoff my laptop. I also update the About me page. Seems my goals have changed and so has my computer.

Well here i am at the esuc lounge. I'm really tired, getting like 4 hours of sleep a night the last 3 nights does that to you. Well i still am gonna play ball a little bit later. Finals are coming up but i'm not really worried at all for some reason. Lots of good things seem to be happening and i hope that they continue to.

On the computer front, well i packet up my old athlon box. My KDS trinitron monitor is gonna probably just be the monitor for one of my computers at home since the laptop only displays at 1024x768x32 max, which is what it does on the lcd making the monitor pretty worthless since its not as good as the lcd. The lcd seems to have much better whites and colors. My firewire 40 gig hard drive came yesterday, and well now i've got 50 gigs of storage for my laptop, and its finally all decked out. And matt , chris, jason randy and all you guys, i'm using a trackman marble wheel usb now. Yes i have lost the fight against the trackball. I'm pretty excited about summer, i think its gonna be interesting, and i should have a car in the next few weeks. And the place me and tolu want to live just got 3 opening when i called today, so well things seem to be going very well.

Well i've been good. EE1 is still sucking, but i'm at least getting through it. Gonna work on my program soon.

Man i actually did some stuff today. Installed win2k and office2k on my laptop. Did a lot of work for my psych class, which is now ranking up there with my most interesting classes so far in college. Too bad i am majoring in friggin compsci. I even met a guy at my psych experiment who happened to also be a 2nd year cs major, in my econ class and in my psych class. Kinda cool i thought. After that i went to mongols.

After talking with tolu's friend zaneta, i realized what i think hell could be like. It would be like the situation we are both in except you couldn't do anything and you'd be stuck there forever. The situation being that we both are playing the good friend when it really is eating away at us.
