Well today i played basketball for 2 hours, ate dinner with terry, nicole, and daniel and james (That asian one) , did laundry and did CS homework. Not in that order. Anyways today was quite uneventful. Yesterday i went to westwood with James (Sharpe) and we talked mostly about what jobs we were gonna have this summer. Damn i'm gonna end up doing blue collar shit again i'm pretty sure. Anyways he had to buy some old metallica CD. We went to all the stores and finally found it. After that i got food which is always good when its not from the dining halls. Got a nice double burger and a steak taco from the $1.75 stands. The burger was really good, the taco was ok.

In computer news, my 500e still isn't here. I called the guy and the guy said he sent it. He wasn't responding to my email because he was in florida. So i'll get it eventually. Too bad i already put my old celeron 466 up for auction on ebay. So i'm gonna order a $192 550e from onvia tommorrow and sell the 500e on ebay when i get it. Since people on ebay are dumb i'll probably end uo making money. Terry said that if i can get the 550 e to run 825 then he'll trade me his 600e for the 550e and the $20 heatsink i have since i can't run more than 133mhz bus with my ram , and 825/150 is a lot faster then 800/133 and he has the ram that it'll work with. So i'm assuming it all works out. Iiyama got back to me about the monitor. THey said that I have to return it for a full refund since they have no more of it and i dont want it re-repaired (not like it was repaired in the first place since it was already broken). So they are sending me a pre-paid fedex label and i just have to drop it off at the STC. No big deal. I'm thinking i'll just live with this monitor for a while longer. I also decided that i'm gonna sell my digital camera on ebay. I've used it only enough to have to recharge the batteries 3 times and if i sell it now, i can get maybe $230 for it which would mean i only lose like $40. So if i sell it with the extra memory card, charger, case and such i should end up around $290. Of course that would be an extra memory card if connie could find the original one that is floating around in her room. So yeah connie go find that. soon. I put the rave mp 2000 up for sale and gave my other one to my brother, so well connie and daniel you are not getting mp3 players. My room is still full of crap i need to sell off so i'll be selling crap until school ends. ANd what else is funny is that i got $56 for my EX motherboard. THe one that shorted out and i got a new replacement for. FUnny thing is that i only paid $38 for it.

I was thinking about it and i've had a crap load of stuff in my computer this year (well since school started). Here are parts that aren't in it anymore that were in it at sometime. amd k6-2/400(ebayed), STB voodoo2(ebayed) , ATI rage2c 4mb (chris has it), diamond v330 agp 4mb(ebayed), ensoniq es1370 (just taken out), avermedia tv98(drawer), tekram EX board(ebayed), tekram BX board(broke it like the moron that i am), tekram via apollo 133 board(on the floor presently), promise ultra66(used for 10 minutes, on floor), fic pa-2013(ebayed, its the worst motherboard ever), antec ks780 desktop case (in box in room, probably just gonna give it away), old acer wheelmouse (terry), old keyboard(closet), other voodoo3 (luke), slotket(floor somewhere). Damn thats sick. I was just thinking about it and felt like compiling a list to see how long it'd be. Hmm i must be bored. Ok if you are saying that is a sickening list, well this is my hobby. At least thanks to ebay this didnt cost too much. I even made money on some of it. Some of those other ones that don't say (ebayed) will most likely be ebayed.

Didnt do much today. Went down to westwood. Got very confused for a while learning assembly language. Straightened that out. I got my MSI-6309 motherboard today. I installed it with little trouble. Celeron is now at 553mhz. the 500e is still not here so i'm starting to get worried. Later i tried to use the AIM talk feature. And well my mic jack is broken on my sound card. So i took it out and now i'm using the built in VIA AC97 sound on my motherboard. For regular windows stuff its great. The CPU utilization is the same about with winamp and such. I forgot that the ensoniq 1370 is also pretty software based (thats why there are like 2 chips on it). In unreal tournament it sound kind of off like when there is an explosion it just doesn't sound as crisp , i think the directsound needs work. Well its ok for my purposes. Better than an SB16 or something. And to top it off it even had linux drivers for redhat and caldera.

Well today kind of sucked. I woke up real late and went to pic. That was okay, we got to watch pirates of silicon valley, which i really like. Skipped math and compsci since it was 3pm and i wanted to eat lunch. Lunch was a nasty chilli dog at bradley. Then i went and picked up my mail and i was surprised that i got my iiyama vision master pro 400 and the little cooler i got for my 3dfx card. Well the cooler works really well , it made my voodoo3 2000 into the same speed as a voodoo3 3500 that costs 3 times as much. Scott tested it in unreal just now while i was taking a shower and it works great. The bad thing was the monitor. After lugging that 47 lbs. POS to my room it was dead on arrival (DOA). Anyways i took it apart and it was beyond repair after me and terry spent 4 hours trying to fix it. Anyways iiyama has a good replacement policy. They send me a replacement immediately and pay shipping both ways so not too bad. Sucks i cut my finger pretty bad on the metal inside. What was worse was when i accidentally forgot i was using a metal screwdriver and i touched a voltage regulator with it. 120 volts of electricity (maybe more depending on what voltage was being converted to) surging through your hand can be painful. One finger has this wierd seared looking burn mark on it. So two fingers on my right hand are hurt.

I looked at my credit card statement and it looks bad again. I need to sell more stuff. Thinking about selling my fuji mx-1200 digital camera. I bought another digital camera from mobshop.com. Through a coupon i got it for $26. Should sell for $85 or so on ebay, so well after buying so much crap i'm getting worried about my spending. Need to make up for expenditures. Kinda had to give my brother my 2nd rave mp player and i was counting on $100 from that. At least Terry is buying my old mobo back off me that he sold me for $50 so that will come in handy. Yeah i was kinda mad yesterday since i broke the slotket i paid $12 for when we were testing it at terrys. That sucked. $12 down the drain. And the stock market looks like its dead. The nasdaq is down 1200 points from its high and my corel is like $8. Feels depressing to lose $1200 of your own money. Could have spent it on drugs... j/k If you want a depressing sight look at redhat's charts. Its like $27 now a share, from a high of $302. Some people are probably quite depressed about that one. DAmn should have believe more in AMD. I owned it at 15 1/2 last summer when it was stagnant and not doing shit. The athlon came out and still it was at $20 and i sold. THought i made a great profit. Well intel had a shortage 3 months later and AMD got rolling. Its $76 a share now. So basically i missed out on about $10000. Great.

Well after the whole monitor fiasco (that thing is under my laundry in the closet, barely fits) me , tolu and geerav and scott, and jessie basically shot baskets in the mini basketball hoop and just talked for an hour, mostly about how gay mohammad is, and whats been going on and stuff. Just normal talking at 1am. Geerav is weak and just couldn't take it and had to sleep at 2:30. Oh yeah i update the about me with more computer stuff. Take a look if anyone cares.

Ok i updated connie. Well i'm a total computer geek and addicted now to buying shit. I haven't even got my p3-500e yet, but i ordered a MSI-6309 4x AGP socket 370 motherboard to go with it. Got it for $25 off at onvia, costs around $120 on the rest of the net so i got it for $70. Should be able to rid myself of the older slower one for a $5 loss or so. Anyways, i haven't been doing to much, been sleeping like 12 hours a day, i dont know i get really tired I guess. The other day i ran into a really clean glass wall at foot locker. That sucked. That day we saw ready to rumble and it was ok. Eat at mongolian , pigged out as usual.

Yesteday I had my meeting with the bitch ass bitch of assistant deaness. She basically tried to get me to admit that I either needed Visual Studio 6 for my CS class and that they gave it to me for academic use. I maintained my stance that it was a GIFT from microsoft and that if they didnt want us to sell it they should have told us so . She was clearly quite pissed off that i shot about a 1000 holes in her argument. She said that i should have returned it if didnt need it. I say why should i its free. SHe goes you should have asked before you sold it. I go well i can sell what i own and it wasnt illegal with microsoft's license so i didnt have to ask. It was mine so it was mine to sell. She says that i could have been undermining UCLA's relationship with microsoft and that Microsoft might not give CS students free VS anymore because of this. So i'm thinking "like i give a rats ass about your relationship with microsoft" thats their problem. If they didnt want this problem to come up they should have taken adequete measures to prevent it. I mean she's saying that my civic duty to UCLA's CS program is what should have made me not sell it. THey cannot punish me for the fact that I'm am greedy and could care less about their shit. Fuck i made $600. And she was an insulting bitch too. She goes "UCLA students are pretty smart, you should have figured out that it was for academic purposes only". FUck her she can die. I mean I'm smarter than your average UCLA student. And i figured out how to turn something i got for free into $600. So eat that. She was insiuating that i was stupid or something. And fuck her, i'm probably 5 times smarter than her bitch ass, no matter how many stupid master's degrees in socialogy or whatever bullshit major she graduated from. Anyways she said that she has to ask my professor if it was ever explicitly said that i couldn't sell it. And it wasn't so i'm home free. But she's still a bitch. She's like "i'm disapointed in the way you didnt think about the school as a whole and didnt ask if you could sell" . FUCK HER. I looked up all the legal parts of this, and there are examples on ebay of others doing it and microsoft didnt give a shit. And It was MINE. THey GAVE it to me. I can SELL my OWN property. END of story, bitch ass ho.

Ok so i have a problem with authority figures. You know why. Most of them suck. Just like our RD when he wrote us up and that fucking RA. This assistant dean person was such a bitch. Damn bueracracy. Fucking useless skin they are. And i bet they all think they can understand us and talk down to us because they majored in some joke major like sociology or psych or something lame.
