Thanks to JC, I have discovered the great world of free internet stuff by going to the Hot Deals Forum on anantech.com. So far I got a free set of emerson behind the ear headphones (no tax or shipping), I got 24AA batteries and and aiwa earbud headphones for $7.30 at buy.com (that was after a $10 off things and shipping tax), I got a 60 minute phone card at mercata.com for $1, and 5 zip disk cases for free. Plus now i'm running 3 alladvantage accounts. I'm a cheapo huh?

Well today I did a lot of physics. I ate breakfast food. Pretty good at least. Then I did my laundry. And somehow I noticed that my haneses were getting all rust colored on the elastic part. The rest was white. I think the dryer was melting the elastic. Anyways my underwear looks real funny. And i had some older ones that you could tell needed replacing. At first i was thinking about going into town and buying some tommorrow. But there is a superbowl to watch. So i ordered them online. YES you heard right. I ordered a 12 pack of hanes briefs for $15.99 , + $4.50 or so for tax and shipping. Order your hanes underwear at Hanes' site. Hell it was cheaper than the store. So it was dope. i mean 6 for $8! Anyways other than that i did nothing.

I went to the mid-winter semi-formal dance. It was actually a lot of fun, once i got into it. Some of the music they played sucked though. I had to borrow a shirt and tie from tolu and then I found out people weren't wearing ties there so i just wore the shirt. Some people even came in jeans. It was wierd some people had really dressy clothes and then there were people in cargo pants. And it was really hot. Then i ate two hamburgers from jose bernsteins and a lot of chips. Other than that i did close to nothing today. My rio 500 is in california but those assholes at UPS said on the phone that it wont come until the 5th day because that is how long the guarantee is. I checked online. It got to UPS la-grande vista at 10AM today but they didnt unload the truck till 5pm.

Well i went crazy coding today. I wrote a nice little queue class for people in my elevator program. I also got an email from buy.com today. They say they are sending my my CS book and will not charge my credit card until it comes. Whats good though is that I already got my CS book so maybe i'll get 2 for 1. Well i'm gonna go back to torrance now. Until tommorrow at noon.

I just went to Shlonglor's page for the first time in a couple weeks. And well he stopped playing everquest. He said that he got to level 50 and ran out of stuff to do. Now I can at least start going to his page again. Of course other people *ahem* *matt* *ahem* hit 50 and continue to play. BTW lastly I'd like to say that EQ sucks just to say it again.

I played basketball at 6pm. We went to pauley and kapono was there. They kicked us out since the IM games were being played. So my me and about half my IM team went to wooden where it was full also with IM games. So we go to the old mens gym and they had taiykwando (yes i know its wrong i dont care) and we couldn't play. So we played at reiber till about 8. I scraped my knee. that sucked. Tolu killed us all since he's really strong. He posts me up and i'm just falling backwards. I shot jumpers like crap. Had a bad day. I ate dinner at puzzles and my IM team left. At about 8:30 I went back to play with terry and them basketball. Played better made some nice layups, even hit a jumper. Then it started raining and people were slipping and stuff so we stopped around 10. Then I did my CS32 project 1 design with JC. Took 2 hours. Got quite comlicated, but we got it all written down in a decent enough psuedocode. Its like 3 pages. Sick. Now i just have to write the test data and expected output garbage.

Today I went to physics. I didnt make it to math. But at least I went to physics to turn in my homework. Lecture was pointless. I forgot my glasses and my prof had some dumb demos. Didn't go to CS because i've got history to read. Math probably I should have gone to but oh well time to read the book in the middle of the night again. I need to work on my CS project. Today I went to the crossroads cafe and they had nice looking food just I didnt wanna wait in line so i just got pepsi. Now i'm sleepy again. I have to stay up real late tonight to write psuedocode for my CS project. Anyways UPS is gay and didnt scan in the tracking number for my Rio and since its coming from tennesee not torrance i've got to wait a little longer. Gaurav flew up to the bay last week and brought down his visual studio 6 pro so me and him are selling the 2 we have together for $630. The guy smdii finally emailed. They work at a development company. Pretty cool, hope i get another email tonight.

In other news I sold the 2nd visual studio for $315. the buyer hasn't contacted me yet, but it is the weekend so i'll wait till tommorrow. My rio 500 will be here tommorrow. woohoo!

I would like to thank my grandmother for believing in me. My she rest in peace. She passed away saturday morning at 10 AM. I hate seeing people in the hospital. They dont seem to have their dignity anymore. She was survived by 9 children and 20+ grandkids. Its really sad that she hadn't lived just 3 months more. She would have become a great grandmother and seen one of her grandkids get married. Being one of the lucky two grandkids who were able to talk to her (my cousin Janssen also did) I will try to do what she said. Which is make all that money from computers. Coincidentally Janssen is a java programmer and i'll probably be working in the CS field, so maybe there is another connection there. My grandma was great. She was talking about stocks to the very end i've been told.

Well slept at 5am yesteday. Did my physics homework and read the 3 chapters i skipped lectures on. Pretty confusing those 2 dimensional vectors are, but once you figure out the beginning you are on a roll. Couldn't get the dumb volcano problem though. Also my stock up 15% today on news that the DOJ is using wordperfect. I bought myself a rio 500 at ecost.com with my visual studio profits. It was $213 only but they put on a $10 "handling fee" and $17.50 tax. Shipping was free though. I checked onvia.com, buy.com, ic-direct, and amazon.com and they are all out of stock. Same with compuplus and a bunch of no names. The prices were higher there too. ecost.com only had the gray/metal one in stock. I did want the teal seethrough one, but oh well. Strangely i only saw ecost.com from a banner ad at Ars. I also sold my Tv card to gaurav for $40. That should buy me a memory card or something for my rio. The other visual studio I am selling has bids of $202 so far but one guy privately offered $270 and never responded again. Skipped all my classes again today. Woke up too late after studying physics. Math sucks. A lot. Ok. It took me 3 hours to figure out 2 days worth of assignments. Damn that sucked. The "school" part of school is the only bad part at this point. I still have to find out if I can partner on my CS project with someone outside of my class. This project looks like its gonna have way too much writing in it.

Well today I ran to Boelter to turn in my CS paper. I made it at 11:59am the paper was due at noon. I forgot to bring my backpack which gave me a good excuse to not go to math or physics. I'm learning the math by reading it out of the book. Reading out of the book is giving me a much better understanding. All i need is the TA in the section to explain how to do the insane problems. After that I returned my other CS book so i could get the right edition on buy.com. it was 35% less than the book store. Damn book store. I also went to the bank to cash my $250 from the visual studio. Another guy offered me $270 for the other one. That is very good. He's from a business and he checks out. Cool. I also went to circuit city and I really had the urge to buy a rio 500 there but the guy was ripping off some people on a laptop so I just left without even asking if they had the teal one i wanted. Now i need to finally rip out my TV card so I can sell it. Need more memory cards for that rio right. If i get one more 16mb I'll have an 80mb rio for 80minutes of music so its more than one CD. I mean if you bring a cd player around you'd only put one CD in it (probably a burned mix) so its just like a small, non skipping cd player. Woohoo. And USB for more futureproofness.

Well tommorrow I think i'm gonna skip history because the lectures are retarded. And there is that wierd annoying guy that randomly says things out loud every 3 minutes and drives me crazy. I've got an evil math quiz but at least the TA will explain stuff. Guy doesn't speak english to well though. Then its off to history discussion which is actually pretty fun when i know what i'm talking about which wont be tommorrow. After that probably go see a movie. Oh yeah and if you would please, go to the KCS EQ page and go on the messageboard and insult Everquest in some way.

Okay somehow I think the some special cosmic forces are at work here. The other day I said my grandma was okay. Well that morning she couldn't recognize my Uncle. When i visited her that afternoon she seemed okay and even told me something. In Chinese she said something like "Hans you go study computers so you can make a lot of money." Well I went back to UCLA figuring she was on her way to recovery. Anyways my dad emails me today that the next morning (today's morning), she fell into a coma and is totally unreponsive. I dont like seeing my grandma even the way she was the other day. As most of you can imagine I'm sad. I was the only grandchild of hers who even bothered to visit her at the hospital when she was still awake. So I guess i'd be the last person in the next generation of my family to speak to her. Kind of seems wierd. I guess its time to fulfill my grandmas wish. I'm already on my way, but in a few years you'll see something come out of all this studying computers.

Ok. I'm at UCLA. My weekend wasn't so great. My 89 year old grandma had a mild stroke. She's okay now and pretty coherant. No paralysis or anything. Lastly today is my birthday. Everyone start mailing me those presents. UPS ground is fine with me. j/k Anyways, i got myself some newer better Jensen headphones that auto adjust to your head. And has volume controls. Also here is my dad's very wise reason for why Bill Gates resigned as CEO. The CEO has have to show up at trials. This makes sense since he doesn't like public speaking.

Well today I decided to skip all my classes. Instead I woke up around 1 pm since I was tired and hurting from the basketball last night. After that I went out to westwood to buy my coursepak and send out one of my visual studios. The guy is paying me around $235. I then bought the coursepak. Tonight I went out to westwood with JC. We ate at La salsa. Had a fun night. pretty much just did random stuff for 5 hours. Well i have a lot to do when i get back to torrance thanks to more procrastinating. I've got physics homework due tuesday, and i've got to read my chinese history coursepak. Also I slightly updated my About me page.

Well i procrastinated a lot. Went to all my classes again. I think i'm gonna skip a couple tommorrow. I'm tired, i played basketball for two hours instead of reading which i just finally finished. BTW monday is a holiday because it is hans day. I think i'm gonna sleep now.

I had a good day. 4 out of 5 stars i'd say. Damn i hate homework and reading and all this crap. WHY? must we be tormented. I think i'm gonna have a lot of fun writing this real-time random elevator simulator for CS. Makes me think like i'm working on writing Simtower or something. My CS prof showed us some cool slides of the difference between unoptimized and optimized code compiling.

Well today I went to English and that sucked. They said since I was on the wait list that they weren't going to let the people on the wait list into the class so it sucked. After that i dropped the class and switched to History 11B. For history of china from 1000-1190AD. This class seems like it'll be fun, they have a "take-home" final. So it'll be pretty easy probably. I might take it pass/fail though I'm not sure i think i've got 3 weeks to decide. The only thing bad about this class is its at 9:30 in the morning. Physics seems not to bad since I got the easy prof at least James said it was the easy prof. Later I bought books and felt like I got ripped off again. I paid $67 for CS book and well it said required , but i think i could have survived without it. I figure if i dont need it after 2 weeks I'll return it since I"m not taking C++ anymore past this quarter. I think my CS class will end up being better. There is still no word on how to complain about my last CS class so I figure I'm screwed with a B-.

Later I played basketball. we played competitively but we ended up losing by a point or so each game. My back hurt a lot for some reason. Really stiff. Other than that and a few other unnamed things things are going really well so far. I'm actually getting into the flow of going to all my classes though I'm figuring I'm gonna end up skipping a lot of the CS ones.

Well class was pretty good actually. I also am real happy because I switched my English class from 9am to 3:30 pm. Woohoo. My teachers for math, CS and physics seem pretty cool. My math is kindof hard because my professor didnt finish his lecture since his laptop kept screwing up. I finally decided to sell my Visual studio 6 on ebay. Most people are getting $200 or so. I hope to get enough to buy a see through teal pmp500 rio. My ebay registration is still being validated so tommorrow it will be. I even took a picture of the box with my digital camera. Tommorrow feels like a good day. I know it'll be good.

Vegas was all right. CES was a major dissapointment, but rio buffet and the outlet mall were good. Connie you would have liked the outlet mall. It was an outlet mall only for the expensive stores. They also had this cool mongolian bbq inside the mall. $5 for all you can eat for one trip. Good idea. My dad says we should open one at del amo. I'm back at UCLA btw. Damn class tommorrow. I almost lost my ID again. I found it near the toilet in my room. I have no idea how it got there. Its' kind of bothering me. The food at reiber was actually good. I think i'm dillusional. Clippers beat the Pacers. The Pacers have the best record in the East. This either means the east sucks, or the clipper rock.

Well it looks like I'm going to vegas. My dad decided to drive since he couldn't get a plane ticket before 12am. Since we'd have to get to the airport by 11am plus 1 hour flight, plus 1 hour in the airport in vegas, its like 3 hours so were just gonna drive. Since we are gonna drive though i'm not getting back until saturday afternoon so I guess i'll go back to school Sunday morning. CES will be worth it. Besides i'll get to be at CES during the morning of saturday too. woohoo.

Well yesterday I earned my license to kill... err drive. I still have no insurance or car so if any rich person out there wants to help me out with those two things.... After that I went to terrys store and connies birthday party. Things are going pretty well recently considering i got my license (and lucked out by not getting the evil guy I had last time that almost went in my car and failed some mexican lady like almost immediately), my camera came, and corel stock is back up in the low 20s (i'm in the BLACK baby!). Now i gotta figure out how to kill some time. Tommorrow I might go to vegas just for friday with my dad. He's gonna go to CES (consumer electronics show) and I might get to go. I'll get some t-shirts, maybe win a walkman even, meet some porn stars.....
