Well I read today that the Matrix won't be available on VHS. They are only gonna sell it on DVD because it's too violent or so they say. The article said it was because Clinton is investigating violence and entertainment with children and also the Colorado incident. Well frankly I think that this is a load of shit. We should get the parents of all the violent kids out there and just beat them all to death. Or if their kids are still alive well we can beat those kids to death too. And it'll be on VHS. So all us sane people who can control themselves can have some entertainment. Fucking retards shooting people because they are stupid. They do what TV shows them. Like those morons who got run over trying to do that thing from that movie "The Program" a few years back. That was a great movie BTW. If someone is stupid enough to copy something stupid on TV, then they shouldn't be allowed to breed. Lock them up or something.

Well today I went to Ivan's and installed the death heatsink we bought at the swapmeet. It worked. His computer even booted win98 at 500mhz with cache latency 15. 412mhz was still faster because of the latency, even though 450 would work, so he's running 412 stable. I also ate at Basil and Rosemary's in Lomita with my Uncle. It was good, all you can eat. Lastly my new email address is hanswee@yahoo.com because Yahoo bought geocities. If you email me at the old hans007@geocities.com then it will just forward to my new email. I already had a yahoo account from the THS messageboard so at least I got to be hanswee. Some bastard already had hans007 somehow.

UK, 1500Mbps, Holland 600Mpbs, Intel 256Mbps, Italy 65Mbps and Spain 45Mbps I saw that on this article at the Register. This is why I dispute the notion that UC Santa Cruz has a 400Mbps ATM line. UCI according to ivan has an OC-3 which is 144Mbps. Do you really think UCSC has as more bandwidth than Intel, Italy and Spain combined. I don't think so.

Yesterday I ate at Outback steakhouse since it was my dad's birthday. It was okay, the steak was above average, kind of expensive though. Oh well my dad wanted to try it. I got to watch the Knicks game there and well they won, it kicked ass. Me and terry also drove around town aimlessly. We didn't get anything done and it's already getting boring. Here is an interesting article by Terry about friends. It's okay, but no quite up to my standards yet.

Well I learned that I should have sanded off the old paint and primered my case before painting it. Now the paint is coming off and I am just gonna scrape off as much of it as I can. I'm trading the case to terry for a motherboard and I'm gonna just get a new one at the swapmeet. Hopefully there will be a good one with a sliding side door. I realize I feel like an idiot for ruining my case, but it really would have looked cool if the paint would have stuck. I waster $10 on paint, 4 hours of my time, and lost at least $30 on the case, but I did learn a lot about spray painting in general so it's not a total loss.

Well I painted my computer metallic blue. I used premium restoluem, two cans. It looks good. THe plastic part is a lot easier to paint, the metal is still sort of blotchey and so i'm gonna put on another coat tommorrow.

Grad night was pretty fun. I got my ass beat by Sid at boxing. And I got my ass beat by Gabe at sumo wrestling. They were still fun though. Got lots of pictures. The hypnotist thing was retarted. Hmmm ... I guess I'm not easily amused.

Well I realized afterward that I seriously have to re-evaluate everything. After grad night I feel like I can see things more clearly. I have to try to see who is wearing a mask and who isn't, why they are wearing that mask. Who really cares about anything. I can generally tell what a person is thinking based on what they are saying and the tone of voice and usually it isn't exactly what they are saying. Some people are usually pretty open. Others aren't.

Then I got to realize what terry did the other day. Who are my real friends? If I can figure that out, then who the hell are all those other people and why are they there.

Well I checked out of all my classes and cleared myself. Got lots of signatures in my annual. People wrote mostly about coke and me being some sort of CEO/dictator. Hmm... I'm really gonna miss everyone. Those few juniors and all the people I've gone to school with and talked to and will never probably see again. Like Mikio and Gabe and Steve. I've known those three for at least 10 years each and well I'll probably never see them again. That is very sad, actually.

I saw Austin Powers 2 on Friday. It was good, but a lot of the jokes were reused. That really sucked I thought. If I had never seen the original then this would probably have been better than that one. Heather Graham was great. She looks nothing like the girl she played in Lost in Space. Thank you Randy for inviting us to see that.

On Saturday I played some basketball. Mildly sprained my ankle again. Didn't go to baccalaureate (probably didn't spell that right) *UPDATE* i didn't spell it right now it is fixed. From what we practice, it seemed like it was gonna be boring. I've been playing Pod Racer. Pretty good. A nice change from countless FPSes.

Today I got really bored. Started walking around Torrance. I applied for a job at AutoZone near my house and the Home Depot. Home Depot has a computerized application. They want people to run their computer systems in the back. It asked how fast I could type. I walked a lot today. I got a haircut at the Fantastic Sam's near Terry's parents store. From there I walked to AutoZone, then Home Depot, then Office Depot back toward home to Lomita Park, then I went to Matt's house, then tried to go to NLA computers but it was closed then back home.

School will be over soon. Then we will have the big net party. I'm not sure I can go now because I have to go to my cousin's graduation party the next day. He's graduating from UCLA. This is real important because it's Janssen and he's the cool cousin, not like the gay one who lives near the bath houses up north. I guess I'll just have to leave the net party a little early.

Okay I ran a non-overclocked vs. overclocked demo1 speedtest for the rage128 card. I used demo1 because the opengl drivers on the rage128 are wierd in crusher plus I wanted to see the max difference in speed. Crusher is like 19fps for 110/130 and 14 or so for 75/75 but it is mostly because the drivers make it stall at some points and that screws up the average, so i used good old demo 1. At 1024x768 I get 22.5fps when the rage128 is clocked at the OEM default of 75mhz core , 75mhz memory. I get 37.2 fps when clocked at 110mhz core, 130 mhz memory now. That is a 65% increase in speed , due to a 47% increase in core clock and a 71% increase in memory clock. Plus to get it to 110/130 I don't even need a fan, even though I put my cool fan there, just in case. I ran the computer running an endless loop of crusher (toughest demo out there) from 7:30 am to 2:30 pm today and it didn't freeze or corrupt at all and that is without the fan. All I added to the stock OEM xpert128 was a 20 cent heatsink from the swapmeet, which is about the size of the retail heatsinks.

Also k7 benchmarks from AMD came out today. In raw integer it is 6% faster than equivalent speed xeon and 36% faster in raw FPU. They also added mp3 and ac3 decoding instuctions. This chip will be killer. Current estimates have the 500 costing $250 or so with the 550 at $450 and the 600 at $650-750. Boards will cost $150 probably since they need 6 layer ones and they also can use pc100 for upgraders out there. Wow I want one.

Well people seem to like the article. Some people think I'm crazy. Some thought it was funny. I think it'll happen. On another note the evil Anand bought a new BMW M class roadster. I guess his 325i just wasn't good enough. Also I overclocked the xpert128 to 110mhz core 130mhz memory. Before it was running 75mhz core 75mhz memory and I could run it at 105/105. But above 105 memory clock it would crap out. So I suspected it was the memory timings in the bios so I flashed it with the retail 100/110 bios. Now it works great at 110/130. I can again thank Juney for trading me it for the banshee. The newest drivers version 6.114 even have some 3dnow! support or at least AMD ZONE said it did.

Well today was the TK/TL banquet. The food was bad, but I did get a cool laser pointer. My plan worked. Yes!. Mrs. Kaku was being a bitch today. Oh well. Lastly I wrote my first article. The Triumph of the Nerd. Some of you non-nerds may not like it, and well I really don't care. Read it.

I did my senior project presentation yesterday. I got an 8 out of 12. Now I reall felt good about it coming out of it yesterday. But after i got an 8 i'm really pissed now. I mean our judges didn't time out presentations. Matt made up all this crap that had nothing to do really with his project and like he got an 11 an they loved it. Plus since me and Mike Wang went after him our info was like the same so we sounded retarted. Mike got a 7 BTW. Our judges wrote all our stuff on one paper and I think they are a bunch of idiots. How can you judge a kids presentations by a bunch of volunteers. It's so unfair depending on who you get to judge yours, how unbiased they are, and how stupid they are. I mean they were paying attention to Mike like everything he said made sense. And with Matt they were like gaga for his e-business stuff. I mean Matt was up there for over half an hour and they didn't take that into consideration. I think I'm gonna complain.

I also found out who told on all the Physics kids. Now it's not confirmed, but this is my site so I don't care if I could be wrong. It was some kid named Bock Ho. Rumor is he did it because he had a 92% in the class and was mad that others were getting higher grades because they were cheating. Now I think that is just about the worst reason to tell. I mean he got someone expelled and ruined 15 people's year. What an asshole. I mean it is moral and all but that still isn't a good reason to tell. I mean me and all my friends pirate software and no one tells on us, even if they think it is so immoral. People are smoking pot at school and no one is gonna rat on them. This Bock Ho kid deserves a big beating. No actually his tongue should be cut off so he can't rat on anyone else. Also look at the bottom of the page and read my new disclaimer, so I can't get in trouble.

Well I went to that CSF / NHS luncheon today. It was okay, the chicken was kind of dry, very typical MUN conference type chicken. The cake was pretty good. Overall it was probably worth going. I also didn't get the web designing job for the summer. I called like 5 times and I never even got to talk to the guy because he was always not there. Today I call and they say someone else got it yesterday. And I called twice yesterday too. I also archived last months news, but just so you don't forget:
