This is usually one of the first things people want to learn how to do
when they come into #pirch; it makes chatting so much more fun and
interesting! Pirch supports 16 colors; 0=white,
1=black, 2=navy,
3=green, 4=red,
5=maroon, 6=purple,
7=olive, 8=yellow,
9=lime, 10=teal,
11=aqua, 12=blue,
13=fuchsia, 14=grey,
15=silver .
- Colored Text:

- Press and hold down the control key.
- Type the letter k.
- Release both keys.
- Type in one of the color numbers from above.
- Type in your message.
- Hit enter.
It should look like this:
When it
shows up in the channel it will look like this : Hello
Everyone.
Notice there are NO spaces between controlk4; if you put
spaces between control k and the color number it will not work.
- Adding background color:
- This is done like the above example, say we wanted a navy background to our
red text, then:
- After the 4 type in a comma.
- Type in 2 for navy.
- Type in your message.
- Hit enter.
It will look like this: before you hit
enter.
And like this after you hit enter:
If the text and background colors aren't enough Pirch also supports
five different text attributes:
- These are used just like the colors; control then the attribute
letter. Remember not to insert spaces between the attributes, colors and the
first letter of your message.
- They are typed in before the colors. Each attribute will insert a
square to show that it is there.
- Control B = Bold
- Control I = Italic
- Control S = Symbol Font (this let's you make the hearts and other symbols)
- Control F = Fixed System Font (another character font)
- Control U = Underlined
