Mail Bag

Mail Bag is the place where you can express your thoughts, ideas and opinions. These messages should be small when possible and should be limited to MWM and M. MWM will not print flammatory messages unless the full name and e-mail address of the person sending it will also appear with the message.

Entries may be edited. Unless you specifically specify, we will not print your details.

Send your e-mail to mwm@mcenter.com.

If you would like to answer/comment on any of the mail listed here please write to mwm@mcenter.com.

Although we appreciate the many letters you sent us regarding the tutorial on MSM-Workstation, we were unable to print these mainly because of the large number of entries.

Chris,

In Issue 5 of MWM you review both MSM Workstation version 2 and MSM-Server for Windows 95. In both you put the emphasis on MSM Workstation version 2 running on Windows 95. It will in fact run on any Windows 32bit system, Windows 95, Windows NT server or Windows NT Workstation. The stand alone .EXE files you create will run on Windows 95, or NT.

Does MSM Workstation have control (component) of type grid or continuos lines so that I don't have to get third party tool ?

Looking into "M" since I have seen some job openings for M-Mumps programmers. I would like to know how difficult M is to learn and apply. Thanks for you time and enjoyed checking out your web site.

I'm looking for an upload tool (for use with the Rochade repository). The complete tool would parse M "stuff" and prepare the information so obtained for import into the repository. Ideally, teh input would be in the form of one or more MDIS (metadata interchange specification) files.

I would settle for an M parser/tokenizer. Does the object of my search exist? Please point me in the right direction.

Hi! I was just visiting your page and was gonna download Mumps for Win 95 but the link is either broken or is gone. I was just wondering if you knew where I could get it cause it looks really cool!!! It's kinda hard for me to follow the language cause I only know Pascal and a little C but I'd really like to learn it! Anyway, thanks for any help...
