Programmer-Billing(VAX-MUMPS)

Salary to $65K

East coast location

Highly respected medical laboratory/specimen testing company. They are growing by acquisition and need a few good people to support that growth. They need a programmer who is well versed in VAX/DEC technology, DCL and MUMPS to do program development and maintenance on medical billing systems.

Senior Systems Programmer/Analyst MUMPS/VAX

Salary to $60K

Sunbelt location

Looking for senior systems programmer for billing system (AR). Technical experience: COBOL, CICS, QuikJob, ISPF/TSO, OS/JCL, VSAM, MVS on an IBM mainframe. MUMPS, DCL. VAX system running MUMPS billing application. Experience in insurance claim filing, remittance processing and other billing functions a plus. Medical billing areas preferred. Will support the Third Party Billing system and enhance existing programs. Also some new development. Good communication skills required for interaction with user community.

Systems Engineers (MUMPS Programmers)

MUMPS is highly, highly desired. Or, if candidate has related medical billing systems or healthcare experience. Then will look at Visual Basic, or “C”, just about any language except COBOL. DEC/VAX is a strong plus. Company is very employee oriented and it shows in their benefits plans and costs thereof. 1993 revenues of $91m, 950 employees. Designs, develops, installs and supports financial, administrative and clinical software applications for multi-entity and managed care organizations. Included are radiology and laboratory information systems, plus practice management for small physician groups, in addition to larger managed care organizations. Programmer

Salary to $55K

Ohio location

Client is looking for a MUMPS programmer. Any kind of laboratory experience is preferred, but not necessary. Smaller but growing company.

Systems Analyst/Programmer

Salary to $61K

Analyzes, plans, develops and maintains EDI applications programs. Functions as project leader in managing assigned projects. Responsibilities: manage projects, determine needs (software), determine priorities, document, weekly reports. Requirements: BSCS or equivalent experience, 3-5 years programming experience, experience with MUMPS, C or Tcl programming languages preferred. Requires previous experience with UNIX and/or VMS operating systems. UNIX is preferred. Requires previous experience with EDI, instrument
interfacing or other message based communications applications. Experience with industry standard data formats such as Health Level Seven, ASTM-1238 or X12 is highly preferred. Knowledge of lab information systems if preferred.
