Commentary

MWM will be closing down. The two years since its inception have seen it maturing in content and audience and I can conscientiously state that it was a success. It was born to help disseminate information about M and the many letters and comments I receive prove that it struck its target.

So why is MWM closing down. It is not because of the InterSystems purchase of Micronetics. While I do miss the competition, I feel that InterSystems will give M a chance to evolve. I said on numerous occasions that M was not being developed fast enough and I feel that InterSystems have both the self-interest and market dominance to lead it on this route.

The reason because MWM is closing down is one: Chris Bonnici. Probably the main reason is that MWM is working against me. Funnily enough anyone who looks at MWM and M Info Source gets the [correct ??] impression that I am an M diehard and that I would therefore not be in a position to think and reason straight. Over the last few months I have been looking up the job market (both local and global). Many have alluded to this fact. Another secondary reason is that MWM is taking up too much time. The writing and publishing take up their share although probably the most time consuming area was that of materializing new ideas. An idea can start life on the back of an already printed paper, but by the time it materializes into something concrete, a lot of work must be put into it. I am not short of ideas and before my trip to the US, was already working on a couple of new projects aimed at the new market conditions, and some other specific groups. If I can't keep MWM on the dynamic track, than I don't want to keep MWM alive. I never made a cent off it and my only form of "payment" were such things.

Closing down speeches shouldn't be long and I'll conclude mine here by thanking the many people who have contributed to MWM; those who tested the tutorials, my sources, and those who, directly or indirectly contributed material, suggestions and their constructive ideas to MWM. THANK YOU. Thank you, Connie and Anne Marie for your loving support.
