My Bio:

Hello. My name is Peter Chan and this is my little corner of the World Wide Web. I hope you are enjoying your visit; I have worked hard to make this an enjoyable and informative site.

I'm currently work as a field applications engineer for Semtech, Inc. in Santa Clara, California. I spend most of my time visiting customers to obtain design wins on fiber optics SONET/SDH telecommunication markets. I also define new innovative product concepts. I prepare competitive market analysis and provide technical training for local distribution and Reps.

I graduated from California State University, Long Beach in May 1984 with an MSEE degree, I moved to the Bay Area to work for OAK Materials Group as a process engineer. I continued taking evening classes at Chabot College and California State University, Hayward towards my MBA program. Finally, it took me five years to complete an MBA degree in High Tech Management at Golden Gate University. Throughout the last decade, I have worked for several high tech firms:

Xicor (Hot Swap Controller, Real Time Clocks, and Triple Voltage Monitoring IC)
Allen-Bradley (Moded Circuit Devices)
X-Cyte (RFID)
Andros (Gas Analyzers)
Nippondenso (Bar Coding Equipements).

My Interests:

1. Stay away from the stock market.
2. Play with my son "Garrett" and my lovely daughter "Sophina"(every day).
3. Surf the web and maintain my personal homepage (whenever I can).
4. Workout everyday at Club One.
5. Play golf, don't get enough time to do it. Manage to score a 90 on June 6 1999 and March 10, 2003.

I Own 2 Cars:

A '98 Toyota Sienna and a 2000 Mercerdes E320

Why did I create this webpage?

Not because of I don't have anything else to do !!!........ Mainly, I wanted to learn about HTML 3.0 (background images, etc...) !
