Personal Statement |
I am 21 years of age and will shortly complete my degree in Computer Science at the University of Kent at Canterbury. My two most important skills that I have to offer potential employers are excellent interpersonal skills and my ability to learn new skills and technologies at an accelerated rate. The root of my interpersonal skill stem from my customer service techniques gained in the four years I have worked for Halfords. These were further aided by a recent period of employment for Toshiba Information Systems (UK) Ltd. in a support role. Evidence of these skills can be seen in the presentation given about my project during the third year of my degree where I obtained a mark of 90%, the highest in the year. |

I started part time at Halfords in June 1994; my original position was as a sales assistant on Saturdays. Responsibilities include general shop work, technical knowledge in sales, operation of tills and a variety of other tasks. Many experiences were gained including customer relations, dealing with external companies (co-operative or otherwise) and especially working under pressure as a team.
