London Trip - Day 8

Saturday morning we took the tube to Notting Hill Gate for the Portabello Market. This street market stretches for many blocks through London, with storefronts and booths selling everything imaginable. I bought Penny a sweater-cape at a shop there.

Elaine got hungry and bought fruit at this stand.

Elaine and I both have sisters named Alice. This photo is for them.

After the market we went to a discount ticket stand in Leicester Square and bought tickets to a matinee performance of a play called Stones in his Pockets. This play featured two very talented actors playing a wide variety of roles. It was about some Irishmen working as extras on an American film about Ireland, directed by an Englishman. It was funny yet poignant.
