Normally I don't view my political opinions in my journal, but I've got some things to say. I feel this whole "let's go to war and kill them" crap has gotten WAY out of hand. When has America ever been the aggressor? George W. Bush reminds me so much of Hitler when he was in power. Attacking countries who did nothing to him, doing as he pleased whether his country was behind him or not. When anyone has the temerity to question his intentions they're called "un-American". In this country we have not only the right to view our opinions, but the responsibility to make sure our Government officials are acting in our best interests.

I don't know about you, but I long for the "good old days" when all we had to worry about was who our President was screwing. Say what you want about Bill Clinton, but take these things into consideration:

1. We weren't at war with anyone.
2. Our allies actually liked us.
3. Most European countries liked us.
4. Our economy was WAY UP.
5. More Americans were working than ever before.
6. The stock market was going up...up...up.
7. Gas wasn't hovering near the $2.00 a gallon mark. (as of 9pm tonight gas here is $1.75 a gallon)

We also weren't told by our Government to run out and buy plastic sheeting, and masking tape. C'mon, really....what idiot thinks that plastic sheeting and duct tape is going to protect you in the case of bioterrorism. I'm no rocket scientist, but even I know you've got to have AIR to breath. If you're masking off all conceivable air ducts and vents, where is your supply of fresh air to breath coming from???? It's like back in the 50's when kids were drilled in school to bend over and put their head between their legs in the event of nuclear attack. The only thing this does is to make it easier to kiss your ass goodbye!

I for one am fed up with this administration. I think it's high time that intelligent people (Republicans & Democrats alike), stand up to this tyrant we call a President and demand that he get his act together. I'm only sorry our country doesn't have the option of demanding elections whenever we feel it's needed, like England does. I think it's criminal to send our young men and women into war with Iraq. Iraq has done nothing to us. I think the only reason Bush wants a war with them is to avenge his father's mess. George Bush reminds me of the bully in school. He won't stand up to anyone his own size, rather he picks on the ones he knows he can beat up. The countries Bush should be more worried about are the ones who have the capability of launching ICBM's (intercontinental ballistic missiles) on us now. Those countries are the ones he should be worried about, not Iraq.
