Turned out I jumped to conclusions with Dean. He HAD written to me after all. His letters had gotten sent back to him from my mail server. Once he got home he sent me the mail...along with the messages. So I'm back to having him as a main part of my life. Which is nice. :)
In fact he's spurred me on to work on some projects I've been putting off. Namely, a survey for people with Fibro and CFS. I've always wanted to do this, see if I can come up with some stuff to help researchers, etc. So it's now in place on my FM site (along with a forum for people like "us") FM-CFS/ME Survey. I'd love for you to take the survey, and pass the url along to anyone you know who'd be interested. So far the responses have been great, and from all over the world....Spain, the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada...it's been great, and I'm so hopeful!

My Mom and my brother Mark and I have been going to Duffy's Sportsgrill every Wednesday night. They have All Star Trivia night then. It's 5 rounds, 5 questions in each round, with points for each question. Winner is the team with the highest score. Last night was our third time playing, and we WON 3rd place!! (out of 31 teams) Actually we'd won 2nd place, but the guy keeping score screwed up and miscounted the other team....bumping us to 3rd place. But hell, I was elated. We got a $10 gift certificate. Mark and Mom said wait till we have my nephew Mike on our team, then we'll really do well. (Mike arrives for a month long visit from Pa. on Sunday) Most of the teams consist of at least 4-14 players. We call ourselves "Triple Delight". (lol)

Last night was Trivia Night. My nephew Mike is here a for a month long stay, and he helped us on quite a few questions last night. One question was, "what was the US action 'Urgent Furry' named for?" We looked around the table at each other as Mike blurted out, "That was the invasion of Grenada, in 1984." I asked him how confident he was about his answer. He said he was 100% sure. I said that worked for me, and I bid eight points..the highest choice we had. He was right, and that eight points put us in second place. However the last round was a killer, and we dropped out of the money into 4th place.
I've been putting a lot of time and energy into my FM-CFS Resources website. I've added support group listings for several countries around the world. I'm happy to say that the survey has become a big hit. I've gotten over 175 responses so far. I've very hopeful that this survey is going to help make a difference.
