We escaped Hallowween by going out to dinner with my brother and his family last night. Then we checked out the new Super Target. Big night out on the town. (lol) When I got the paper this morning I noticed some of the trick or treaters trashed the front door last night. Silly String all over the shutters, door, and house front. Nice. Real easy to get off....NOT! I scrubbed on it for a half hour after breakfast this morning and only got half of it off.

I had a doctor appointment this morning at 11:45 with my new cardiologist....(my old one left the state). They request you be there 15 mins early. So at 10:30 I sign in the book. The receptionist tells me, "he's not in yet". I asked if he was coming in and she's like..."well he DOES have patients." I sat there for 15 mins then I asked if he'd showed up yet. The other receptionist (there are 5 of them total) said he'd just showed up. I asked how far behind he was running. He looked at the schedule and said it'll be 2-3 hours before he can see you. I said, "not today it won't, reschedule me, I have a life and it doesn't include sitting here for 3 hours!" I dunno why I even bother seeing this guy. My GP does my stress testing, and gives me my heart meds. ?? Why is it that if YOU'RE late or a no-show at the doctor's office you pay, but they can be late or not show and it's ok?

Well I'm all set for xmas. I bought one of my last gifts Saturday at the craft show we went to. I'm buying Mom a ceiling fan and light for the dining room table. Now all I have to do is finish my wrapping. I've already wrapped a ton of stuff, but I've bought a bunch since I last wrapped. I HATE wrapping presents. If I didn't have such pain in my hands it would be ok I guess. If it were up to me everyone would get their gift in a bag. (lol)

Today is a very sad day for this country. It's also a very sad day in our family. We've all hoped and prayed that John Kerry would be victorious. Not only for the good of our country, but for our own personal good. Each member of my family has suffered under the Bush administration. Lost jobs, lost wages, you name it we've had it. Now even our last shred of hope....a Kerry victory...is gone. I'm heartsick and my Mother is terribly depressed. To her Bush was in the same league as Hitler. How do you tell someone living under Hitler that things are going to get better?

I will always be amazed at the people in this country. How they can read the news, live in this country, and still vote for George Bush is beyond me. A nation of sheep. All doing what they're told to do, following the great white leader into the pits of hell.

I had a reader write and ask me if I was ok since I hadn't written in a while. I told her, "I'm ok, just not very inspired to write I guess. It just seems like half the time I think to myself..."what's the use". Losing that election was like losing a loved one. You know you have to go on, but you struggle to find the reason in it.

I've been trying to get back to my bike riding after a long absence of exercise. I had a hellish aftermath from my weekend jaunt to Kentucky. I was pretty good all the time I was there. It was just after I got home that all hell seemed to break loose on me FMS wise. But now that I'm able to walk again I figured it was time to get back on the bike.

Tomorrow my Mom and I leave for 3 days on the gulf coast of Florida. My Mom hasn't been out of this area since the summer and she's getting antsy to travel. So we thought we'd drive over to Ft. Myers and take in the Edison home and the Ford home. We'll be back Wednesday afternoon. Just in time to eat Thanksgiving at my brother's house.
