Program No Longer Available

LDM Info

UPDATED VERSION 1.6 NOW AVAILABLE! Dec 9/04

This is a significant upgrade from the original release and is free to registered users. There are many new functions, features and enhancements. If you thought it was great before, wait 'til you see this!

What Is It?

The program is called Lottery Data Miner or LDM for short. It is a suite of lottery tools that is basically a front-end to a lottery database, but its functionality extends far beyond that. The program consists of several modules that perform different but related tasks. These tasks would be very difficult for the average lottery player to carry out since they involve a lot of fairly complicated mathematical calculations and database functions. You can struggle with spreadsheets and formulas on your own for months or even years and still not achieve the levels of speed and accuracy that LDM will provide you. In exchange for a very reasonable registration fee, all of the hard work has already been done for you, in one easy to use application. This program is built for both comfort and speed and makes sophisticated research and testing a breeze.

Before reading any further, it is important to be advised that this program is for 649 Lotteries only. You may want to take a look at it out of curiosity, but it will be of little value if you regularly play other kinds of lottery games.

LDM is the result of many years of personal research and over a year of heavy-duty programming and rigorous testing. It was originally intended for my personal use only. After demonstrating it to several friends and associates, the unanimous advice was that I should share it with the rest of the world. Well, here it is. In all good conscience, I cannot allow myself to just give it away.

Unlike all of the other programs and tools I provide as freeware on this site, this program is Shareware. You may download and evaluate it free for 30 days. It is fully functional and not crippled in any way. If you decide that you would like to keep using it, a reasonable fee is required to register it for unlimited use. After the evaluation period has expired, the program will no longer run, but you will still have the option to register at any time. I am confident that after only a few days of use, any serious lottery player or researcher will find it to be an indispensable part of their software library. The following is a summary of the features that you will find in LDM.

FULL DATABASE

This module is really the heart of the whole thing. It displays complete data from the 649 Lottery of your choice. Three databases are included with the installation package and others can be added at any time. All databases are complete from inception to the end of November 2004. The data is presented in an easy to navigate grid. There are 23 columns that contain data on different parameters for each and every draw. The user can sort the data on any column. Data can be directly edited if inaccuracies are found. There are built-in safeguards to protect the integrity of the data. Printing is also available of course.

Included Databases (keep or discard whatever you need)

Canadian 649
UK National 649
Practice Database

Additional Databases (may be downloaded separately)

Atlantic Canada 49
British Columbia 49
Ontario 49
Quebec 49
Western Canada 49
UK Lotto Extra
Lotto South (Georgia, Kentucky, Virginia)
Maryland
Massachusetts
Michigan
New Jersey
Ohio
Pennsylvania
Wisconsin

International Databases

Various databases for other 649 games from around the world may be made available depending on demand. There are language issues involved here since the program is in English only. It is difficult to anticipate what kind of demand there may be. The program includes the capability for any user to create a new database from a CSV file containing the proper data. Here is a list of non-English speaking countries where 649 games are played:

France
Germany
Hong Kong
Poland
Portugal
Spain
Turkey

ADD RESULTS

A database is useless unless the user can quickly and easily add new records to it. This program provides 3 options for doing so. The user may enter results manually or by importing a large amount of draws from a text file for automated updating. The third option allows the user to rapidly create a new database from scratch.

SEARCH DATABASE

This is a very powerful tool. With it, the user can perform almost any kind of search through the available data. The information that can be learned from this is invaluable. Would you like to know how many of the past draws have had a sum between 100-199 AND 3 odd numbers AND 4 low numbers AND no consecutive numbers? All it takes is a few simple entries and you'll have your answer very quickly. For those who believe that past history is meaningless, I must ask why you are even here to begin with. Past history has no direct influence on future draws but it provides some pretty good clues about what may be reasonably expected around the next bend in the road. It's pretty difficult to know where you're going if you don't know where you've already been. Isn't it best to be armed with a roadmap? All settings can be saved to disk file and reloaded at any time. Includes sort, print and export functions.

FIND NUMBERS

Another very powerful module that allows the user to find all occurrences of any single number, any pair of numbers or any triple. In addition, it will also check any 6-number combination for past wins and display the complete results. There are also functions that will display both number frequency counts and hot-cold classifications. Includes sort, print and export functions.

Filter summary report shows which type of drawn combination may be statistically overdue based on several categories of filters. Number summary report now calculates and shows adjacent numbers.

Find Pairs and Find Triples functions will list which pair or triplet of numbers have appeared the most and the least through the entire draw history or any range of draws that you specify.

WHEEL/FILTER UTILITY

This module is easily the most powerful and could be an entire program just by itself. It actually consists of 4 different modules that allow the user to accomplish a wide variety of tasks and tests that to my knowledge, are available nowhere else at any price. There are lottery programs costing over 5 times as much that don't have these features.

1. Pick Number Sets

Easily choose anywhere from 7 to all 49 numbers that will be wheeled and/or filtered. See an instant update of many factors that change depending on your chosen numbers. There is even a built-in utility that will instantly show you what the odds are for trapping various amounts of matching numbers. Number sets can be saved and reloaded at any time.

The Pick utility automatically indicates repeat numbers, adjacent numbers and statistically cold numbers with visual coding

Automatically opens a number "skip" report that shows how many draws have passed since each number's last appearance

Random Sets, Quick Sets. Want to test a purely random set of numbers? Just punch in how many you require.

2. Filter & Count

Set any combination of filters to apply to your set of numbers. Hit the Run button and get a very fast count of how many combinations will be produced. For instance, how many combinations are there that have a sum of between 130-170 AND 2-4 odd numbers AND 2-4 low numbers AND no more than 3 numbers from any decade AND from 0-2 consecutive numbers? This is extremely difficult to calculate from scratch. This program will give you the accurate answer very quickly. The filters are very flexible and can be mixed and combined in many ways. Settings can be saved and reloaded at any time. The actual lines produced can be saved to a disk file and tested for performance.

Now set "either/or" conditions for most filter criteria. This provides much more flexibility than the previous version.

A Filter Summary report is available. This will insatantly show which types of combinations can be considered as statistically overdue according to various categories.

Now includes "Banker" numbers. Set from 1 to 3 numbers that will be included in every combination. When using 1 banker, a report will show a count for the number of times that number appears in each of the 6 positions.

Now includes repeat and adjacent number filtering. Are you certain that at least 1 of the previous winning numbers are going to repeat? Have a hunch that 1 or 2 numbers that are adjacent to the previous winners are going to appear? Just set the filters accordingly.

Filter Breakdown summary report is now much more comprehensive. Now you can see at a glance the amount of lines that have been filtered out of a full wheel.

A number distribution report shows how many times each number appears and whether any numbers have been eliminated from your set as a result of filtering. Also shows the min/max count.

3. Generate

A random number generator that will produce any amount of either totally random combinations or produce only random combinations that pass your filter criteria. You can even pick random combinations from a previously saved file. Also includes the ability to load a wheel "template" of your choice and then apply your filters to the lines it generates. There is even the option to generate a simulated database of any size. There are many different RNG's available from the internet. This one is unique and actually useful.

4. Check Wheel

This module does so many things, it is difficult to describe them briefly. With it, you can do everything from simply checking your played combinations for winning matches, to testing huge amounts of lines against the entire draw history. A modern system with a 1 Ghz (or greater) processor will check well over 100,000 lines per second. A complete summary of the test results is generated and this can be saved as a text file. There is the option to check a range of the most recent draws (the last 10? the last 150? the last 333?), any individual draw or all of the draw history. It doesn't stop there. There is also the option of generating random lines on the fly for testing against any range of a draw history...with or without filtering. This effectively simulates the playing of different quick-picks against any of the actual results from the database. You can run as many simulations as you like. There is a built-in scoring system that will give a reasonably accurate reading of how the lines being tested are performing against random expectation. Other uses are yours to discover.

Random Set Test

This module will allow you to view the random process in action. Enter any 6 numbers of your choice or use any 6 random numbers supplied by the program. Specify the size of a set of random numbers. By default, the module opens with a set of 21, but it can be set to anything between 7 and 48. Specify the number of trials to perform and hit the start button. The program will generate a different random set of 21 numbers for each trial and keep a running count of how many matches that set has with the 6 numbers specified. On completion you will have a complete report of how many matches were attained from 0 to 6. Draw your own conclusions. Where else can you find something like this?

Random Sequence Test

Similar to the above. This module will again use any 6 numbers you choose. The idea here is to see how many attempts it takes to achieve a level of matches that you specify. For instance, if the matching limit is set to 4, the program will continuously generate random combinations until one of them contains 4 of the same numbers that have been specified. Once the limit has been reached, you will see a count for the number of times the other matching levels have been hit along the way. You will also see the final combination that made the match. A limit of 3 or less won't take long at all. Try setting the limit to 5. It will take considerably longer. If you really want to give your PC a good workout, try setting the limit to 6 if you dare. The fastest PC on the market today is probably going to be tied up for quite some time. This will show proof of what you're really up against as a player. No need to be discouraged though. Somebody always ends up winning despite the odds. Why not you?

STATISTICS

At a glance, this module gives the user a general overview of some key statistics concerning the draw history, such as averages, medians and min/max values. Especially interesting when you compare the draw histories of several different databases. It is readily apparent that they share many things in common that go beyond simple coincidence.

FIND CSN (Combination Sequence Number)

A handy utility that has been included. There are other programs of this type available, but this one is easy to use and is lightning fast. Punch in any 6 numbers and it will calculate the lexicographical sequence number. The reverse function is also available. Punch in any number between 1 and 13,983,816 and it will show you the 6 numbers that form the sequence.

The main database display shows this CSN for all of the draws and is also automatically calculated when you enter new draw results. This number is very useful since it will sort the complete database from lowest to highest combinations or vice-versa.

EXPORT

This module allows the user to export the complete database to a file that can be imported into a spreadsheet program such as Excel, or any application that can import .csv files. This is a feature that is commonly missing from many popular (and expensive) lottery programs.

HELP

Detailed documentation is included as a Windows help file. This not only explains how to use the program properly; it offers many insights and tips about the lottery game itself.

Graphs, Bells & Whistles

There are none. This is a straightforward, no-nonsense application that gets down to business as quickly and as accurately as possible. Oh...and one other thing...this program makes no attempt at "predicting" anything. If you are looking for yet another lottery program that claims to magically pick the winning numbers for you, then this program is not what you seek. The information that can be discovered with LDM is meant to both educate the player about how the game works and to possibly aid the player in formulating a sound playing strategy. If you apply the information that can be learned from this program, you should begin to see a marked improvement in the results you achieve. You will still need a lot of luck in order to hit the big one. Any software author that claims otherwise is either a fool or a liar...or both.
