Technically Precise

Technical precision is required in some subjects. I have often dealt with technical illustration/imagery in subjects like industrial hydraulic, cement plants, steel industry, medicines and many more. And I love that there is so much to learn in it other than just graphics. Examples on this page show A+ online course graphics. A+ certification is developed by the Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA).

When I started the project the challenge was to replace old illustrations with new 3D images of all the hardware that goes into PC. I mostly worked with photographs taken from various angles, occasionally with actual hardware. The visualization ability was put to test. I used 3D Max software. For perfect 3D models I had to visualize objects from all possible angles. It is difficult even while working with the photographs and without actual object. Worked with the SME who was only available on the phone.

The emphasis was not much on realistic qualities of objects in terms of material, maps, texture but technical perfection. Importance was to show correct number of ports, even number of pins on the port, wires, location of the parts, etc.

For example, Floppy Cable must have forty wires running through strip. BNC connecters must fit each other in a certain way.
