The MTC was like nothing I have ever experienced before. Everyone has their own opinions, but let me start of by saying I loved it! Where else can you eat all you want three times a day. They have everything from cold cereal to ice-cream bars. The Spirit can be felt around the world, but he lives at the MTC!
Our first night: After a long day of orientation and adjusting to what you know is going to be a new way of life you have yet to experience, I will never forget returning to our rooms to study and have companionship inventory and prayer. Our door was closed. I couldn't believe the noises coming from outside. We were all wondering how we ended up with a bunch of rowdy nutcases. I ventured to the doorway as everyone in the room stared at me as if to say, "what are you doing? Are you going to enter the great and spacious?" I opened the door to see a "tunnel of Elders" with the hands against one side of the hallway and their feet against the other. The ones who were not up against the ceiling were laying on the floor taking photos. I shut the door shaking my head. "These people are crazy!"
By the end of our first week none of us sat quitely in our rooms. We were out "unwinding" with the best of them!
