Being from Australia I didn't think that i would ever see the day that Backyard babies would be doing a gig anywhere near me. But the unthinkable happenend and BYB set two dates' to play two shows in Australia one in Sydney on the 29th and one at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne on the 27th. Melbourne being my home base city of corse I went to the Melbourne show. That was on Friday night.
I had never been to the Corner Hotel before so finding it was a little of a challenge but i found it in time and I was even early. Although once I got there I had know idea where I was Supposed to go to get in. So I went to the two front doors but they where locked then I spotted this guy walking towards the back of the venue so I followed him. This lead me to a door that was opened so I walked in and guess who was standing right there in front of me? DREGEN!!! NO SHIT! At this point I was shaking and I didn't know if I should go over to him or not because I was so scared that he would turn out to be an asshole.
I went over to him and told him that I was a big fan and he gave me a big HUG. I'll tell you all something he is the sweetest guy that you could ever meet. I was just crapping on to him and he didn't mind at all. (I think that he is used to girls like me). I asked him if I could get a photo with him and an autograp. He was more than happy to have a photo with me and and give me an autograph. Then Nicke popped around the corner and I was like "OMG NICKE" he just smiled at me and gave me a hug. I was so excited all I could get out was "This is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I got a photo with Dregen and Nicke then one with Dregen. (Below). I got out the cover of my Total 13 album from my bag and my pen was not in there. Dregen was waiting and I had NO dam pen. I asked Dregen if he had a pen he said know but he tracked one down for me and signed my cover. HOW shit hot is that! I was just blown away with how nice they where, it was great. |
