My 2nd favourite Walter Mitty escapade for now, NO DEMAND, I suppose slashdot is the only really successful slashot site with traffic and editorial staff. more_talk.html
8/orphaned reports.com to allow internal reports to be externalised, eg coding standards comparison of unit testing tools, ie not business critical but could save other people time (and get your beta reports reviewed). Google indexed
Would companies release their reports? good because pull and push, people want their reports read and people want to write similar reports.

9/Brand open source/ form a market do developers can prefer to work/use/trade/invest in more open source friendly companys. Ethical investment along Kosher [Jewish], Muslim[no interest] and or envoironmental bias lines. Have to build this into a slashdotable question. Downside: other people must have thought of it, work/maintenance/review of companies required, it cannot be done alone. Maybe coopt the antipiracy audits to do open source audits at the same time. Proprietory software in compitition with open source would hate that.more_gnubrand.html

Good ideas may not want to be released into the open but that is better if the alternative is not have ideas scruitinied.

Any other suggestions? There most be better ways use ones own recreation and skills enhance other peoples work rest and play (eat mars... get a girlfriend, get a more rewarding job.)
