Memory Unlimited

You will agree that to crack any competitive
exams it is very important to have a good
memory and its effective use.So let us test
ourselves to see whether or not we have a good memory.
Memory test:
close u r eyes and imagine u r self in u r room.
Now starting from the wall on the right, try to visualise
everything on the wall. This is a test to see
how much u remember from familiar surroundings.
We all have a good memory but the only
problem is that we often do not use it effectively

Here are some important tips that would help u improve u r memory.

Interval
-----------------------A lengthy learning session does not enhance memory.
-----------------------it is very necessary that one takes a break
-----------------------after very 50 minutes. And here a break does not
----------------------- mean, watching T.V. complete rest of mind and body is requried
-----------------------before one starts learning again.

Revision Plan
------------We all have limited hours iin day, same books,
------------similar source of guidance and similar circumstances. To crack the competition,we need to have an edge-------------over others. This can be done by increasing the utility of one's study time. The aim is to study maximum in a limited peroid of time. For this ,it is important to keep revising the material(after first reading).
First reading:with in 24 hrs.
Second reading:with in 7 days of the first revision.
Third reading:revision is needed after one-and-a-half months.
Fourth reading:the fourth revision could be after 6 months.

Drink water:
70% of our body weight is water. It is
therefore very important that we drink
water at regular intervals to keep ourselves alert.
Always keep a bottle of water on u r study table.

Senses:
According to Dr.Bruno Frost,an average we remember:
25% of what we read
35% of what we hear
50% what we see
60% of what we say
75% of what we do
95% of what we read, hear, see, say and do.

Concentration
concentration is nothing but one's thought,
fixed upon one thing at a time.Mostly during
studies,a part of our thinking is not realted to the studies. So we need to improve our power of concentration.
some of excercises.

Exercise 1.
one can coordinate and integrate various
energies of the nervous system by performing
breathing exercises called pranayama in conjunction
with meditation.once this is accomplished, the student
easily gains control over the life supporting vital air,the
prana(life),which in turn leads to control over the mind.

Exercise 2.
Take a table clock.put it on the top of
the television.switch on the television and
sit at a distance u usually do to watch television
But this time, instead of watching television, focuse
u r total attention on the second's hand of the clock.
and very thought of u rs should be of the second's hand only.
while doing so,ur attention will be diverted a number of times towards
the television.whenever this happens, take ur attention back to the
second's hand.

Memory tonic:
There are lot of memory tonics in the market but there aren't many
who helps the students. To prove this a simple test was done.
10 persons between 23 to 27 yrs were told that a tonic could double
their memory,if taken regularly for three months.coloured water in
branded bottles was given to them. After 3 months, they scored better on
on the memory test! This shows that positive thinking can work wonder for
our memory.

Memory route:
To reduce revision time,we need to condense the whole theory of 5 to 10 pages
in to one diagram.By doing so,only a glance will be sufficient to make us recall,
the whole theory.make an attempt to make memory routes for whatever u read.
