Have you ever heard of "quake" this game? If you said that you prefered Quake2 or Quake3 than Quake, I have to ask you one thing: Can you run Quake2 or 3 in dos prompt? Can you run Quake2 or 3 without a 3D aceleration card? the answer is no, although you can play Quake2 even if you have not install a 3D card, but the quality of the game must be bad. Moreover, Quake doesn't need to have DirectX supported. i.e. you can run Quake even on NT, because Windows NT didn't support DirectX(the truth is that NT didn't support DirectX that is above version 3.0, when almost every game even Quake2 and 3 needed DirectX 6.0 or above!)

Apart from the compliablity, Quake support multi-player mode. you can play Quake with you friends online, where you can only get its fun until you have played it for the first time.

*Quake single play.

*muti-player game.
