Please note that although we guarantee that these remotes will work perfectly on your WebTV or MSN TV unit and/or Dish Network Microsoft Dish Network products 7100 & 7200 or we'll replace them we by no means guarantee that they'll operate your TV set 100%. We have found that they do work perfectly on about 999 TV sets out of 1000 so there's a very good chance that they will run your TV set.
That having been said, it must be added that most people buy our remotes to run their units and have other more suitable devises to run their TV set.
You can program the WebTV remote control to operate your television. I s is already pre-programmed to control your WebTV Plus Receiver.
Note: Your television must have infrared (IR) remote control receiving capability in order to be used with the WebTV remote control.
To Program the Remote Control
1. Find the three-digit number for your TV from the list of "Remote Control Programmable Numbers" on page 43. Use the first number listed if more than one set of numbers appears for your TV.
2. Press the MODE button until the LED under TV within the IR Lens area is illuminated.
3. Press and hold the ENTER button until the TV LED flashes.
4. Enter the three-digit code. The TV LED will blink if the code is confirmed.
To Verify the Remote Control Operates Your TV
Perform these steps to verify that you entered the code correctly for your TV.
1. Press the TV (Power) button on and off. Your television should turn on and off.
2. With the TV on, press the CHANNEL -/+ buttons. The TV channels should change.
Note: Repeat the steps under (To Program the Remote Control) if the remote control does not operate your TV as programmed.
