Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne
Began February 2001
Currently still maintaining

In August 2000, I started working for the Boys & Girls Club of Cheyenne as Program Coordinator of their new Before and After care School site. I am developing this web site to further assist in communicating with the community, documenting progress and showcasing events and projects. UPDATE: We now have a registered Domain name. bgccheyenne.org

The Mud Puppies
Began August 2000
Haulted May 2001
Update: this link is no longer valid, however I have preserved the original layout HERE.

Developement of this site began somewhat as a favor. There was no formal discussion concerning it's development but the former web designer had done minimal work then abandon the project. It needed a hefty make over. Frank and I met to look over some backgrounds I felt were impressive at a graphics site I had used in the past. One was chosen and I developed a layout using colors and positioning that complimented the backgrounds uniqueness. I was anxious to get pictures for the intro page but the band was unable to provide them for months. The most important thing had been to post their itinerary. I figured their fans would like to be able to communicate with them so I found a free guest book program that allowed the use of your own background and added it to the site. This generated quite a response. Sometime end of April JD called me and we had a lengthy conversation about how to proceed with development of the site. He was informed of my hourly rate should I continue to maintain the site with news letters and streaming video development. News letter updates and general maintenance was to run about 40.00 per month. The streaming video would probably be a separate single charge. It was agreed that he would ask the rest of the band what they wanted to do. A few days later he sent me the first newsletter. The layout was tight and had not initially included a spot for a newsletter. After taking some time to think out where it would be best placed for smooth navigation I proceeded to the site only to discover that modifications were made to the site without my knowledge and it was slop. I was surprised at this unprofessional action and terminated my involvement immediately.

Carl Carmichael Fremont County Commissioner Campaign
Completed July 2000 but this link is no longer active.

This site was developed for Carl Carmichael's campaign for Fremont County Commissioner. The development and maintenance of the site has been volunteered. The site is on public domain and therefore is no cost.

Laramie County Peace Officer's Association
Began April 2000 but this link is no longer active
Development incomplete. My term as Secretary ended and I lost regular contact with the association.

As Secretary of the Laramie County Peace Officer's Association, it seemed fit to develope a site containing useful information for its members. This site is located on public domain and therefore is no cost to the Association. The development and maintenance of the site has been volunteered.

Data Communications Management Incorporated
Completed October 1999
May contact for reference.

Sam Searcy is the president of DCMI and the first person to contract my web page services. Thank you Sam. DCMI specializes in AS400 computer services and desired to give their current site a face lift. The organization of the site was streamlined.Uniform page layouts were developed. Colors were altered and new graphics were blended with old ones to provided an eye catching yet uncluttered effect. DCMI has chosen to provide maintenance and continued development of their site "in-house".

Knowledge gained: Some of the new graphics used were applets. These applets were found on free sites not restricting their use in commercial sites. Applets are made up of "class" files. Many of the class files have long names which the AS400 does not like. Renaming the class files prevented them from running. I will research for a remedy. It may mean only straight java script writing. You can view Here what the site would look like if the applets ran.

Where it all Started
September 1, 1998 and is constantly changing.

This is my personal site. It isn't uniform yet but reflects the evolving of my knowledge. I steal a little time here an there to play with new ideas or just make things more organized and attractive.
