About Richard & Barbara McCoy

My wife Barbara and I have looked for relatives of hers for many years. Barb's father came to the USA from Yugoslavia in 1912 and never kept contact with his relatives from back home. The only Kamban relatives in the United States are her brothers and sisters and their families. They all live within a 30 mile radius of us here in Ohio. We got on the Internet a couple of years ago and I found a telephone book from Yugoslavia and a bulletin board in Montenegro. Barb wrote to the Kambans I found in the phone book and gave them our address and e-mail address and I posted a message on the the bulletin board. Filip Kamban, in Yugoslavia, answered us by e-mail and Stevan Kanban, in France, posted to us on the bulletin board. We then went back to the Yugoslavian phone book and made contact with the Lubarda family. Lubarda was the name of Barb's grandmother in Yugoslavia. We received answers by e-mail from Slobodan Lubarda in Slovenia and Vujadin Lubarda in Montenegro. We corresponded with the Kambans and the Lubardas about a year and a half and then made plans to visit Slovenia and Montenegro. This is that visit as seen with pictures.
