Clipboard contents can be copied and pasted into without user permission by a control on a web page that uses Microsoft Forms 2.0. This could pose a problem if sensitive information is on the clipboard.
The controls in Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications are actually ActiveX controls, which are provided by the Microsoft Forms 2.0 library. Hence, the basic controls, such as text box and list box can be used in other applications that support ActiveX. Microsoft Internet Explorer happens to be one of these. Hence, these basic controls can be embedded in a web page and manipulated from there.
This update will be of interest if you regard the contents of your clipboard as potentially dangerous should it come into the hands of a third party. It is recommended that you install this patch.
