Okay, you've just gotten akicked. Before trying something stupid like: begging the person who akicked you to remove you, flooding the person who akicked you, trying to change your nickname/identd/address, getting other people to unban you OR getting so pissed off, you feel like you're ready to shoot somebody, consider why you got akicked in the first place.

An akick is used in a war channel like a ban is used in an ordinary channel. They are designed to keep the troublemaker outside the channel for a longer period of time. They may be made by mistake or they may only be temporary. However, when you get kicked by some dork named ChanServ with the kick message of User has been banned from channel, it's enough to make anyone upset.

This page describes every possible reason why a user can get akicked. In most cases, you have to create several offences to actually get akicked. In other cases, one offence is reason enough for permanent removal. Keep in mind that only an Sop can akick you and that only the same Sop will remove your akick. Do NOT go around asking others to remove you because other people will not. If everyone removed every akick set, there would be no point of even using the akick.

Red Offences = Rule-Breaking Offences (almost permanent to permanent akick)
Yellow Offences = Major Offences (temporary to permanent akick)
Cyan Offences = Minor Offences (temporary to permanent akick)

No Lists of Any Sort Use of blacklists or any equivalent is not permitted. These do not give the opponent a fair chance and often results with the user overkicking the opponent.
Maximum of 3 Rekicks Revenge/Attack, automatic and manual rekicks are limited to a max of 3 kicks on the same user. If the user reacts by banning, deopping or kicking, you are allowed to give another maximum of 3 rekicks.
Maximum of 3 Clients/Clones Including bots, each user is allowed to have a maximum of 3 clones per hostname. DALnet already restricts the amount to 4, however it is okay if you have different hostnames per client.
No User Protection on Non-Bots Although you are allowed to have 3 clients, they are not allowed to protect themselves. Self protection is the only type a user can use. The only exception is if the client is a legal bot in which it is ok if the user protects this bot.
Do not DeOp/Kick/Ban the Channel Bots Deopping, kicking or banning a channel bot is not permitted. These users give ops and unban bans. They are there to help you and protect the channel. Legal bots contain: sevr, bot, b0t in the nickname (ChanServ is not considered a channel bot).
No Takeover Attempts Mass deopping/kicking/banning, changing channel modes or changing the topic is considered a takeover attempt. The only people permitted to perform these are Sop's, the Sop's bot or people of higher access than Sop.
No Nuking/ICMP Bombing/Port Attacks This war channel does not tolerate nukes or hacks performed on users. Port scanning for wingates, bo, netbus is allowed yet not encouraged.
No Evading Akick Constant efforts to rejoin the channel after being akicked will result in more punishment. Being on the channel while the bot who enforces akick is offline also fits this offence.
No Illegal use of Bots Bots are not allowed to be used as a second way to revenge on someone. Users are not allowed to identify with their access to unban themselves. Non-sop bots are not permitted to kick/ban/deop for any reason other than users breaking the rules outlined in the topic.
No Flooding/Advertising Constant flooding or advertising to users, bots or the channel will result in akick.
No Harassment Also known as the GUNZ offence, if you continue to insult or harass users and get reported to an sop, you may be akicked. GUNZ is an extreme violator of this offense.
No Ripped Scripts/Bots Users are allowed to use other people's scripts as long as they do not alter coding or logos to the extent of creating the image of them being the rightful owner. If the owner of the script allows the user permission this offence is bypassed.
No Lameness You people reading this are probably like, "everyone's lame, how can that be an offence?!"
These are the degrees of lameness that can get a user akicked:
  • Disrespect to someone of higher access
  • Constant exploiting of bugs in scripts (a.k.a Sawblade offence)
  • Any combination of the other offences
