Cursor Panel Demo

CursorPanel.java extends Panel to provide one or more draggable Cursors. You can use any LayoutManager, and place any Components in the Panel, but it works best with non-peer-based Components.

The intended use is for the Panel to hold one or more data strip plots, think of a row of pens drawing wiggly lines on paper. The user can drag a query cursor across the plots.

Cursor positions are reported to the application, and used in analyzing the data.

This CursorDemo.java applet shows it in use. There are two vertical cursors, a solid line and a dashed line. You can drag either one across the panel. You cannot run applets

The cursor draws correctly "over" the colored blocks, which here represent data strips, but is hidden by the AWT Buttons, because they are peer-based.
