Another modern philosopher. Writing mostly on the subject of mind, soul, intelligence and of course computers and artificial intelligence, Penrose is a strong defender of human attributes against its machine imitations.

Good luck for him. I think he is wrong, but still his arguments are sound and his books are very informative.

This book is a strong opposition to those who think AI will succeed in recreating human intelligence. Penrose supports his arguments against AI with G”del's Theorem and Quantum Physics. A good deal can be learned on those subjects in this book. I cannot say I totally agree with Penrose in all aspects. However, this book is a very good philosphical discussion concerning AI. It is good reading whether you are a AI supporter or not.
