FInally found the time to update this. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in December of 2005 with a BA Honors in Geography, specializing in both GIS and Urban Planning. Thinking back, UT was a pretty rad place to go to school, perhaps I will go back in the future. But for now I have my eyes set on travelling and working for the near future. I got an internship in Croatia through AIESEC. Things did not go as well as expected though and it ended a bit earlier than expected. Not to fear, I backpacked around (the cheaper locations of) Europe. Hungary, Poland, Portugal, the whoel former Yugoslavia, it was an awesome trip. Portugal, you may ask "But it's nowhere near the rest of those countries!" Thank you EasyJet and RyanAir! Apparently in Europe at least, distance is no longer related to cost anymore.

Now that I'm back in Hong Kong, I've been interning at Reuters which has so far been pretty good. No I'm not being sent to Iraq or Afganistan, though that would make an interesting job. Hope to go on another AIESEC traineeship soon, it was a pity that the Croatia traineeship didn't provide much in a way of an "experience". My next trip, tentatively set for this winter will be somewhat closer to home. Asia is a fucking amazing continent that needs exploring!

I am originally from the San Francisco Bay Area of California, but since my mom is Canadian, I've become a dual citizen of both countries. I went to Monclaire Elementary up to 4th grade. I moved to Hong Kong just after I turned 10. It was a bit of a culture shock despite being Chinese, but once I got used to the Chinese culture with the punch of British influence, it turned out to be a bloody cool place to live.

In Hong Kong I first went to Chinese International School then went to Island School from Yr 9 onward. It's a semi-public school run with a British curriculum. Actually all schools in HK use the British curriculum, but this one catered to all the native English speaking crowd. I did learn enough Chinese to get by I suppose. I didn't develop a British accent, but I did pick up a lot of slang, both British and Cantonese. Our year was the guinea pig year for all the new GCSE, AS, and A level exams of the Edecel Exam board, which created much anxiety among us all.

One thing I've always been concerned about is the environment. I think I've had the interest since elementary school. I've always liked animals, recycling, and planting stuff. I kinda lost a little bit of interest in High School, when I started getting interested in computers. Since coming to uni though, I've kinda gotten involved in it again. I just feel people thesedays only care about money and material things, not thinking about the environmental damage that is caused for those luxuries. I admit I'm not completely innocent of that either, being in the society we are today.
