Saw Enemy of the State t-giving eve, and rather
enjoyed it, though it wasn't cohesive. The beginning, setting W.
Smith up as a DC laborlawyer was plodding and not very believable
(and I think W. Smith generally adorable). Did enjoy the
dissection of the screen into little bitty and altered-shaped
viewing 'arenas'. Scott seemed to be paying homage to and also
attacking the 'views' we all can have, or that can be had of us,
in his media vehicle. Lots of reflective surfaces,
geometric-izing, etc.
Of course, am a huge fan of The Conversation,
and Scott was foolish to attempt to either portray or emulate
same.
It never really got my blood going, but it did
have its hilarious moments, and did like Hackman's character,
mostly, and could see his character alone set forth rather
beautifully in a novel.
