Jackie Brown was immensely disappointing. I really think the main
flaws were Pam Grier (I cannot see why people were praising her
wooden, one note, performance - I couldn't bring myself to root
for her amidst all of these more interesting characters - the
only reason I wasn't pulling for Samuel Jackson was Pam Grier's
ally in Robert Forster), and its excessive length. I understand
why Tarantino wanted to show the money drop from 3 different
perspectives, but did he have to show every second of those
perspectives? I think I looked at my watch three times while
watching Pam Greir walk from the store out to her car in the
parking lot.
