Oh, I did rent Mountains of the Moon a month or two ago, shortly after mentioning it in this thread. I thought it was pretty disappointing, losing a lot of what should have been a fascinating relationship amidst some goofy subplots. I would have left Isabel Burton on the cutting room floor. For one thing, Fiona Kelly is one of the ugliest actresses in the history of film, and seeing her naked scarred me for life. For another, the subplot of their relationship added nothing. Even the photography, which should have been breathtaking, was nothing special.
