I saw "O Brother Where Art Thou?" last night. It was a wonderful movie, closer in spirit to Raising Arizona and Hudsucker Proxy than Barton Fink or Big Lebowski, in that is quite accessible. Clooney has certainly grown as an actor (although he occasionally channels Johnny Depp in "Ed Wood"), and most of the cast is very good. I don't recall very many belly laughs (although there are a few), but I had a smile on my face for most of the movie. I think Sturges would have been pleased by the tribute.
