We camped a few miles south of Marlborough, in an area which is quite close to Salisbury Plain. The area has many famous ancient monuments, not least of which are Stonehenge and the Stone Circle at Avebury. There is lots of wide, open countryside around, quite different from the busy and well inhabited areas in which we have camped before.
