BACKGROUND

Established in the year 1986, National Bank Staff College (NBSC) has already completed a decade of its existence. Initially it started as the primary training institution for the officers of the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), the apex bank for agriculture and rural development in India. However, in the early nineties, it expanded its clientele to international participants after having developed sufficient expertise in the field of training in agriculture, rural development and other related areas such as environment, gender, human resources development etc. 1
