Kishinev RTV Tower
This tower is 196 meters high, built in 1958.
It used to carry Moldavian TV [R3 H 50kW],
1 Union programme [R11 H 50kW],
2 Union programme [R8 H 100W and ch.30 H 100kW] until March 2, 1988.
Then these transmitters [except R8 100W] were moved to Strasheny RTV
tower which is 20 km to North-West from Kishinev. Same happened to the
radio transmitters on 66.80, 67.58, 68.48, 72.00 MHz.
Nowadays Kishinev RTV carries following channels:
TV5-Europe (France) [R8 H 100W SECAM 6.5MHz 24 hours],
PRO TV (Romania) [ch37 V 1 kW PAL 5.5MHz, 24 hours],
PRO FM (Romania) [106.9MHz Stereo, 24 hours],
about 25 satellite channels [2.6-2.8 GHz],
amateur repeater [in.fr. 145.050 MHz, out.fr. 145.650 MHz]
and other microwave TXs.
In the beginning of 1999 there was built another 70 meter high RTV tower
in about 200 meters from the mentioned above. It carries
TV6-NIT (Moscow-Kishinev) [ch49 V 1 kW SECAM 6.5MHz 0350-2400 UTC]
Radio Polidisc [103.7 MHz Stereo 1 kW 24 hours]
