PLAYSTATION CD TERRITORY SWITCH FOR CDRWIN/DAO

Freely Distributable

GAMESTER 1.0

What is GAMESTER?
Gamester (short for Games Territory) alters the CD image prior to recording, making the resulting copy appear to be from the territory of your choice.

The main use of this is to allow use of CDs on consoles (such as the PSone) where the conventional "mod-chip" is unable to defeat the machine's territory protection. For more information, read the GAMESTER.TXT file in the gs10.zip archive.

PSX CD-ROM PROTECTION FOR CDRWIN/DAO

Freely Distributable

FREELOCK 1.3
©1999-2001 Xperience

What is FREELOCK?
Freelock alters the layout of a CD image prior to recording, making the resulting copy 'virtually' impossible to duplicate. This prevents most people making copies of your copies.

Freelock runs from a deliberately damaged floppy disk. This damage is all part of the protection process. The disk can be produced by extracting all files from the flock13.zip archive into a directory on your hard drive, then running INSTALL.BAT. The resulting disk can be further duplicated by using the DISKCOPY command or the Windows "Copy Disk" function. Alternatively, you can distribute the flock13.zip file instead. For more information, read the FREELOCK.TXT file on the Freelock diskette.

FREELOCK 1.3 now uses a separate file for protection. This means that (a) you can now copy FREELOCK.EXE to your hard drive (but you still need the diskette for standard protection modes) and (b) Windows NT / 2000 systems stand a better chance actually running it!

Unlike similar protection software, Freelock is FREE.

After all, who wants to pay $50 for a cuesheet editor?

NOTE: Freelock is NOT and was never intended for protecting PC, audio, CD+G, Karaoke, etc. CD-ROMS. Although it will add the protection to these type of CDs, it is very easy to re-create such CDs by copying the contents to your hard drive...and then re-mastering the CD from the files copied..... so, yes it DOES protect such CDs....but they are easy to re-produce. FREELOCK's MAIN PURPOSE IS TO PROTECT PLAYSTATION / MIXED MODE CDs.

PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION BEFORE DOWNLOADING

Not all of FREELOCK's features are compatible with certain CD writers, namely the Hewlett Packard 8100 (possibly the whole HP 8xxx family), also Sony's CRX1000. To use FREELOCK on these writers, try using both the /O and /M options simultaneously. Alternatively, may we suggest a simple solution..... don't buy these writers if you intend protecting your CDs.
