Additionally, it was mentioned by Laura from Indiana that she had not been to Chicago. Therefore it is being considered that we jaunt on up to Chicago for a day maybe. Then of course, my chat friend Jen lives in Kentucky, and well, we might as well stop by on the way to Louisiana. So in essence, we're looking at a three week road trip, minimum.
Consideration into renting an RV took place, but the funds to do so would need to equal a semester of school and therefore is pretty much out of the question. Not to mention that it would most likely take much longer. Though road trippin in an RV would definately be sometime one would not soon forget. Not that we will forget this trip. We'll take lots of pictures, stop at lots of Wal-Marts for 1-hr photo session, and refuel, relieve, and retrieve ourselves during that time.
I figure that renting a minivan would be the best alternative. Give us some space, and it'd pull 80 I mean 65 miles per hour for those open road stretches. Since we're visiting so many people, I'm counting on some of them being kind enough to share a lil space for us to bunk for a night. Hell, we may just drive during some nights. Maybe pack some tents and hit up some campgrounds.
Aside from stealing chat friends to hang out with, we'll probably find miscelaneous tourist attractions to stop at and oogle over. Stop at a shooting range along the way maybe. Hey, I plan to have a shotgun by the time we go on this trip. We might hit up a few Air Force bases to see military aircraft. Laura G suggested stopping by Tucson, AZ at a big air museum. It even has an SR-71 Blackbird. There is also a "graveyard" w/a bunch of old planes. So I'm sure we'll remember to stop by there. And of course, go shopping with/for the ladies. Dana will show us fun stuff in California. But it's the Roadtrip Of The Century, it'll be fun in and of itself.
