Above: The Sharq Market. A mega shopping mall just off the Corniche. Its sits on an artificial island with a small lake in the center for mooring boats. There are two bridges on either ends of the islands connecting it to the mainland.

Above: The National Bank of Kuwait with the Liberation Tower looming over the horizon. You can see the 'Three Banks buildings' to the left.

Above: More buildings... According to industry sources, 70% of Kuwait's investment has been in construction.

Above: The Al-Sharq Tower. Its got a digital clock (on the other side) and a helipad on top of the building. The helicopter service was later banned due to security reasons. On the right is the Burgan Bank building.
