New York, USA Snaps - Gallery 1

Above: That's me besides the towering Statue of Liberty, the symbol of American freedom (the snap that I took actually has the golden flame on top but the scanner missed that).  I keep remembering the last part of the movie "Planet of Apes" when Charlton Heston sees the broken arm of the statue... 

Above: A view of downtown Manhattan skyline taken from the ferry with the twin towers of the World Trade Center in the center ("King Kong" in the 70's tried to climb it - his predecessor in the 20's tried to climb the Empire State Building!).

Above: The Vietnam Memorial at the Battery City Park.  The stone walls next to it has the names of those who laid down their lives (on the American side) during the war.

Above: Me and my colleague Raj Ganesh outside our apartment at Yonkers, braving the snow and chilling wind.
