MY PROFILE: I was born into the family of Mr. Michael Ojedeji (of blessed memory) popularly known as 'Baba Mich' or 'Baba ni Eleta' and Mrs. Mary Mosumola Ojedeji on the 28th of February, 1969. I am the only male, the third and the last of the three children of the family. I hail from Ile Aide, Eleta, Oyetunde Street Agbongbon in the South East Local Government area of Ibadan - Oyo State Nigeria. I had my pre-primary education at God's Grace Nursery & Primary School Ile-Titun; while my primary school education was at St. John's School, Eleta - Academy, Ibadan. In 1982, I secretly obtained Common Entrance form for St. Theresa's Minor Seminary Oke-Are from my little savings. I sat for the examination and passed. When I got the admission letter for the Minor Seminary, I told my parents and they refused because I am the only son. Then I never felt discouraged. However, I secretly confided in my then Parish Priest, Rev. Fr. Francis McCabe (Sma) who made a school locker/cupboard for me as an expert carpenter. The locker is still in use today by my mother for keeping soup. Fr. Francis McCabe accompanied me into the Seminary for resumption in September, 1982 by 4:00pm. On April 2nd 1986, I lost my father before which I got his fiat to forge ahead in my vocation to the priesthoood. Due to the daily processing of his pension as the next of kin, I became a day student for a year in a mixed school [Ibadan City Academy] where I was the Chapel Prefect conducting daily prayer assembly. In June 1988, I went back to the Minor Seminary, Oke-Are [where he completed my secondary education successfully] to sit for my WASC Examination. While awating the WASC result, I worked for a while in the Diocesan Community Pharmacy (D. C. P. ), Eleta and St. Mary's Catholic Hospital, Eleta especially in Out Patient Department and in the Pharmacy. I was an alumnus of the Catechetical Training Centre, Oke-Ado, Ibadan. In January 1991, I joined the Claretian Congregation. I did my postulancy at the Claretian Postulate House, Awkunanaw, Enugu and my novitiate at the Heart of Mary Novitiate, Utonkon, Benue State. I made my First Religious Profession in September 8, 1992. I did my philosophical studies at the Claretian Institute of Philosophy, Maryland-Nekede, Owerri in affiliation with Pontifical Urban University, Rome. In 1995 through the instrumentality of Rev. Brother Rene Lepage, a Claretian from U.S.A. province and Rev. Fr. (Dr.) Izu Marcel Onyeocha (Rector of the Claretian Institute of Philosophy) who discovered my potentiality in electronics maintenance, I was sent to an International Company, Unisys Inlaks Computers, Port Harcourt for three months course between July and September for 2 years. In September 1996, I successfully completed my computer maintenance course with a diploma in Computer Hardware Support. In 1996, I opted for my home Diocese [Catholic Archdiocese of Ibadan] and was incardinated into the archdiocese. I studied and completed my degree course in Sacred Theology at the Seminary of Ss. Peter and Paul, Bodija in June 2000. While in the Seminary, I was a member of Legion of Mary, Sacred Heart Society. And I served the Claretian Seminary as Director of Programme, Electrician, Receptionist, Master of Ceremony and Computer Maintenance Prefect. And I served 'Great Bodija' Seminary as Secretary, Pastoral Prefect, Internet and E-mail Prefect, Computer Maintenance Prefect and the Chief Achivist. On the 25th of March, 2000 [the feast of annunciation of Our Lady] I was raised to the order of the diaconate by His Grace Archbishop Felix Alaba Job at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Eleta - Ibadan. On the 23rd of September, 2000 I was elevated to the order of the Holy Roman Catholic Priesthood. I enjoys Lawn Tennis, Computing and above all pastoral activities. I am most grateful to God for the gift of my vocation, and the Grace of God that saw me through. I am also grateful to my Local Ordinary, Archbishop Felix Alaba Job for his paternal, financial and moral support. To all those who contributed to what I am today.
