So You Want To Make Money Over the Net?Then you've come to the right place. I've been looking for a very long time and finally found a few decent ways that anyone can use to earn an income through the internet. The pupose of this page is to spare the rest of you from wasting your time on some of the dead-end opportunites I wasted time (and money) on. So below I have listed all the ways you can and can't earn money over the intenet. Maybe I shouldn't have said that, correction: You can earn money from any of the below opportunities, however some are easier (for the average person) than others. I'll discuss the pros and cons of each in detail.
Money from SurfingComment: This is one of the newest ways, and by far the best (I decided to start this out on a positive note). Anyone can participateWhat you have to do: Just surf, really! All you have to do is download a program that rotates banners as you surf. As long as that program is running properly and is not hidden or obscured, you're making money! However you can't make a lot of money. You'll only get paid for up to 40 hours of surfing for a maximum of $16 (at gotoworld - that's the best one). So to make more money, you have to get other people to sign up and surf using their bannerviewer. Then you get paid for their online hours too. You can do this by putting up banners on your webpages, asking friends, etc. GotoWorld - This is the best program of all the money-making opportunities. Just sign-up and download their 4.3 mb browser and then get the 400 kb upgrade when you login and you're on your way. I know some people (like me) fall in love with their browser and refuse to use another one. This isn't a problem. Once you've started the gotoworld browser click the red dollar sign to open the banner viewer to make money. When it's green, right click it and click "Show Ad-banner only" so that the browser will disappear and stop bringing itself to the top of your screen (which gets really annoying). With just the ad-banner showing, you can use any other program you want - just remember to keep surfing because after 5 minutes of inactivity, the program will stop (if you know a bit of javascript, that too is not a problem). Pay: $.40 for every hour you surf, $.10 for people you refer, $.15 for people they refer, and $.20 for the next branch of people. The good thing about the payment scheme, is that it doesn't depend on how much your refferals surf but on how much YOU surf. So you don't have to pray for participation by your referrals. AllAdvantage - This program is very similar but a smaller version. First of all, you don't have to download an entire browser but just a small banner viewer. Also you can only get paid for up to 15 hours of surfing (they say that will soon be increased). However they do pay more for your hours surfing. $.50 cents per hour but only $.10 for every level of referral up to 4 levels (ie the person referred by the person who was referred by the person who you referred). BannersComments: Only for people with webpages (preferably sites with large volumes of traffic)What you have to do:Sign up, put a banner on your page, and then pray. What I don't like about banners is that any success you think you may have is out of your hands. It all depends on whether they actually go to your page, click on your banner and then sometimes they'll need to even buy something just to make you any money. The good thing about banners is that they require no additional effort. Just put'em up and continue to maintain your page and you'll have at least a bit of success with them. The key is hits, you need more no matter how big your site is, the more the merrier. CDNow - I like this program, its pretty good. It relies solely on commision. So its best if your site is music related. You get 10-15% of any purchases someone makes through your link. What I like about it is the organization, The members section is very easy to understand and you can use the credit you make to order CDs without any additional charges. Amazon - the worlds biggest online store. You get a percentage of all music, books, etc. that anyone purchases from your link. I never had much success with this program, I think it maybe cause of the webpages I put it on. The one catch is that you have to apply to be part of the program (its not hard to qualify, only about 50 visitors a month). Value Click - This program pays per click which is a good thing. All someone has to do is click on the banner and you've made money. This program also requires an application and approval. Good luck. It's one of the few pay-per-click programs that are legit. Whatever you do, DON'T TRUST CASINOS. JustClick - Just like it says, just click on the banner and you make money. They promise $.04-$.10 per click. PennyWeb - This program is another pay per click giving 3 cents per click. The cool thing about it is that they offer other programs too. I've only heard of this one, so check it out their site for more info. EAds - simple pay per click program giving you 5 cents per click through. Chain LettersComments: For the desperate and naive.What you have to do: Make a letter asking people to send one dollar to each address listed by you on the letter (usually 6). When they have done so, they can remove the last address and add their own and start sending their own thousands of copies to send to everyone. If people send you loonies (or one dollar bills) in the mail, consider yourself lucky. Personally I've never tried this method. However I've always had one question about it: Who's to enforce that someone has actually sent his money in before reproducing it with his own address on it? No link, just write up a bunce of BS about how you're now making thousands per week and send it everywhere (yeah that's right, spam). To make a long story short, just follow this guideline in life: Whether you're looking for a home-based business or a career, make sure you're doing something that a) you know how to do, and b) you're good at doing. If you surf a lot, get paid to surf. If you have a real good website(s) then use banners. Good luck. |
